Anything new in the little arcade? DS15 is already requesting to go to the arcade at CR since he said the WL arcade was a "little lame". :rotfl:

I'm guessing no, since I was way underwhelmed by the WL arcade. The arcade at the YC/BC has a lot more, and they have more games for points/prizes. I only went in there because we got the free 100 points from our package, but I can see how kids might be looking for something bigger.

We check in Friday as well. Thankfully this ice storm will be long gone. Enjoy your trip!

Also checking in on friday, and just made our Lime Green mickeys heads for the door so look out for them!, also we will be on club level so thats were u will find them

Prob hitting MK in the morning and then BIG plans at night... then who knows

It's funny you said that... I was just telling my kids that I miss the sound of the boat horn. We just got home on Saturday, but I am so ready to go back already. We had a great view from our room 5141. I requested inner courtyard, upper floor, so I was very happy with the location. We also got 3 towel animals ~ very cute. There are so many little things that definitely keep us coming back.

We were in the exact same room just a week before you. :rotfl::rotfl:

I wish I could go back for my next trip, but it's bit expensive in Peak season for my boss to sign off on. Ugh!!

We're booked for the lodge. August 10-16th, then we board the Disney Dream for 5 days.

This will be our third year staying at WL, but our first time not staying club level :( we're not sold on the value any more.

We just returned from a wonderful stay (Jan.21-29) at the lodge! We were in room 6134. It was a courtyard view that overlooked the villas pool and you could see the lake. We have had better rooms but we were fine with the room. It was spotless! Martha from housekeeping kept our room clean all week. She left towel animals/flowers daily. She used ds stuffed animals to set homburg displays. Our room was close to a set of elevators that we used often. The room was super quiet. We never heard the elevators. Transportation was excellent. We waited once 20 minutes for a bus to EPCOT but the driver went directly to EPCOT so it was a quick ride. Most of the time a bus or boat arrived within 10 minutes. We only ate at Roaring Forks. We found the food to be very good as usually. We have stayed at WL 5 times and have always been pleased!:dance3:

It's great to hear that the elevators aren't loud - I don't think one person has said that they were bothered by them. :cool1:

I've heard mixed reviews on Roaring Forks - what do you usually like there?

We were there last weekend and the weather was AMAZING. It was much more crowded that I thought it would be but with smart planning we never waited very long. I have lots of photos of the resort and the Concierge Lounge in my Trip Report that I just started if anyone wants to take a look :)

We've done WDW after the cruise and before. Before is much better for our family. We run from dawn to dark, then spend our days relaxing on the ship.

But, the discount after the cruise for WL is pretty good!

See you on board!

We did after for 2 reasons...

1..Timing. With going on the cruise before we can travel down over the weekend, do one day (Monday) at Kennedy Space Center and then still have some time in the parks before heading home over the following weekend. Gives us enough time for the cruise and park and only have to take 10 vacation days from work.

2..Free dining was after, not before.

Hey all! We're booked to stay in a studio this summer by renting DVC points. Since it's a flat rate to rent points versus renting by the room (standard view, preferred view, etc), what kind of room can we expect? Can we request a specific view/room? If so, where are the best rooms for DVC? I just really don't want one of the rooms near the delivery areas.
TIA! :)

I don't think that the studios at WLV have a view option.

We have stayed in a studio 5 times..

1. Dumspter view
2. End room overlooking the pool
3. Twice have been in front, overlooking the walkway to the Lodge
4. Woods

So what we'll be looking at? Trees? Pool? Garbage cans? ;)
Thanks!

Probably mostly trees, or looking out toward the walkway between the Lodge and Villas. Some Villas can see the pool, and a bit of the lake - one stay we had a very nice corner studio with a side window where we looked out over the Villa pool, villa side of the lodge and our balcony looked through the trees to the lake (also over the pool to the left).

And, of course, there are a few villas way down the end of one hallway that look out toward the dumpster and a back road. :thumbsup2

HHSTigerFan - how was it looking out over the walkway? Everytime we walk by those rooms I wonder if it would be a nice lcoation.

Thanks so much! Let's just hope we get a decent view! :thumbsup2

Although no guarantees;) Even when renting points, do request a view...i.e. pool view, lake view etc. Just ask the owner to add the request for you - we do it all the time and have had very good luck renting points and room views/location.:thumbsup2

Happy planning!:goodvibes
