Hi, all! My DD's friend just booked for next yr, but only a courtyard bunkbed room was available - just 2 of them though. Anyone know where these might be located? She booked through a TA and did ask him to keep checking.

Thanks!

They are on all floors (except CL) and are located inside the "horseshoe" (using that term VERY loosely). They overlook the pool, Silver Springs etc. IF they get one looking straight out, they will be able to see the EWP on Bay lake. There are also "courtyard view" rooms on the south side, overlooking the Villas & Villas pool. IMHO, these are NOT worth the extra $$$ for courtyard, so tell her to make sure she requests INNER courtyard. (there have been reports that those are now considered woodsview, but better safe than sorry) There is a link to a great map in one of the first few posts that shows where all the locations are, so they will have a better idea of what they want to request.

We're heading to WL for the first time in April. This thread is so informative. Thanks so much for taking the time to be so thorough. It's very much appreciated!!!

:goodvibes

Tomorrow is Ranger Stan's last day.:sad1: Goodbye Stan, you will be missed. WL will never be the same!!

Thanks for the new thread! I was happy to find it. I couldn't believe the old one ended without any new link :scared1: So yeah, you are all back :cool1:

Just booked and paid for a last-minute vacation for the week before Thanksgiving! I am so excited! I've always wanted to stay there and I can't wait to see the WL Christmas tree. We've never stayed Deluxe before, but the military 40% discount made it possible!

Hi

I have added some
new information on page 1 and updated existing informatiom.

What I need for anyone visiting the Lodge soon is to please save your Recreation Activities list, you'll receive this at check-in. This will assist me with updating new activities at the Lodge. I also need a new price list from Teton Boat & Bike Rental for any new rental prices of the equipment.

Thanks
Beckie

Yeah! Thank you for starting the new thread! I really appreciate it!
We are heading to WL with 14 other family members to Celebrate our 25th anniversary Jan 2010! I am getting so excited I cannot stand it! My husband and I have always wanted to stay at WL and I cannot wait to hear "Welcome Home!"

I posted a question on the last thread right before it was closed so I was unable to get any responses. I thought I would try again

We have reserved wilderness view rooms and I would love to get ones near one of the smaller fireplaces. I thought this would come in handy while little ones are in the room watching TV we could be outside the door near the fireplace enjoying adult company. What would I request in order to get a chance near one of these fireplace lounges? Are any of these wilderness views?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

Can't wait to go back in Feb. Was able to use the 40% on a CL room so it makes the deal sweeter!

Did I just overlook it, but is there a map of the room locations for the 1 bedroom of the WL villa's? :confused3

just changed our room from WL to the Villa's 1st time:thumbsup2

jean

Jean,

Yes you overlooked it, the information link is located in the 1st post, half-way down under the
THE VILLAS at WILDERNESS LODGE

I just tried the link and it has been closed let me see if I can find another.

So I finally got a pin code but they won't let me use it for the Deluxe room!!! I am not set on the concierge portion of the room but DH and I really want a separate room from the kiddos. They would let me use it on a 1 bedroom villa but I confess that I've been thinking of that Deluxe room and was hoping for that. Should I hold out and see if 4/3 is offered for April? Or is the 1 bedroom villa a good room? Has anyone stayed in both or even one of them and let me know what they think?
Thank you!!!

Is the 1 bedroom villa a good room? Has anyone stayed in both or even one of them and let me know what they think?

I have stayed in both, before the Villas where built we stayed in the Deluxe Rooms and enjoyed our stay. (Concierge access wasn't included when we stayed in the Deluxe Rooms)

Even with concierge access I would choose the 1 Bedroom Villa over the Deluxe Room.

The Junior Suites are approximately 500 square feet and offer 2 rooms, a living/kitchen room and a Large Bedroom with 2 beds. The Living Room Couch also opens into a bed. In addition to the couch, the Living Room has a TV, table, 2 chairs.(The kitchen area is a small wet bar and mini refrigerator.)

The One-Bedroom Villas are 727 square feet and have one bedroom with a king-sized bed and its own whirlpool tub and TV, a living room (which has a queen-sized sleeper sofa, and TV), one full bathroom, plus a sink/vanity area in the room with the Jacuzzi , a fully equipped kitchen (which includes a refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave), dining area (which includes table and four chairs), stacked washer and dryer, hair dryer, a nice walk-in closet as well as a smaller closet, and a private balcony or patio which includes two chairs and a small table.

From Post #2, page 1.

WOODS VIEW: These rooms are located above the front desk on floors 5 & 6. North side woods view rooms are on floors 1-6 and face the "otter pond"(a handful face MK). Floors 4, 5 & 6 above Whispering Canyon are Woods View Lobby rooms, plus more Wood View rooms on floors 2-6 located on the south side of the lodge overlooking the Villas and trees.

Wood View rooms located off the Lobby: (Southside)
The woods view rooms located above the front desk off the Lobby (South side of the Lodge) on floors 5 and 6 really have views of roof peaks and a few trees in the distance. The pro and cons of these rooms are the same as the few standard view rooms off the Lobby but you will be paying more money for the same view. Room #’s 5091-5099 & 6091-6099.

Wood View rooms overlooking the Villas: (Southside)
There are additional Wood View rooms located on the South side of the lodge before the mid-way elevators They face the side of the Villas and a few trees, on floors 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6. These rooms are very quiet and a good area for light sleepers. Rooms would be even # from 2100-2120, 3100-3120, 4100-4120, 5100-5120 & 6120-6120.

Wood View rooms located off the Lobby: (Northside)
The woods view rooms located off the Lobby above the Whispering Canyon Café. (North side of the Lodge) Floors 4, 5 and 6 have landscaping outside below the balconies, you may also see sections on the employee parking lot. These rooms face toward the Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom giving you the possibility of seeing the fireworks from your balcony. Rooms would be # 4081-4090, 5081-5090 and 6081-6090.

Wood View rooms overlooking the Otter Pond: (Northside)
The last group of rooms that are Woods View rooms are located on the North side of the Lodge beyond the mid-way elevators. They are on floors 1-6 they face toward the Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom giving you the possibility of seeing the fireworks from your balcony on the higher floors. They also overlook the Otter Pond where the local wildlife visits through out the day. (Otters, ducks, rabbits armadillos and deer) Rooms would be even # from 1004-1034, 2004-2034, 3004-3034, 4004-4034, 5004-5034 and 6004-6034. The rooms located on the 6th floor # 6004-6034 have the enclosed dormer balconies so guest have to stand to enjoy the views.

If you want quiet you should request...Wood View rooms overlooking the Villas: (Southside)

Almost as quiet and my request would be...Wood View rooms overlooking the Otter Pond (Northside) you might hear/see the fireworks and an occasional ferry horn.

The smaller fireplaces are located on the forth floor off the Lobby over the main entrance so to be near this area I would request Wood View rooms located off the Lobby 4th Floor Northside of the Lodge.
Theses rooms located off the Lobby above the Whispering Canyon Café. (North side of the Lodge) 4th floor have landscaping outside below the balconies, you may also see sections on the employee parking lot. These rooms face toward the Contemporary Resort and Magic Kingdom giving you the possibility of seeing the fireworks from your balcony. Rooms would be # 4081-4090
