The Wii is $199!!!!

If I order the Wii from amazon and pay $199 using an amazon gift card, will I still receive a $25 gift card? It looks like I would from the promo - I don't see any language against that. Thoughts?

Oh this wii thing is killing me.

In my amazon cart right now is
- wii $199
- Mario kart (w/wheel) $40
- Excitebots (w/wheel) $20
- wii play (w/ remote) $40
- numchuck $17
- sports pack (controllers) $17

For a grand total of $330
Less $50 gift card I have
Less $25 gift card I will get for buying wii

So, is the wii + 4 games and tons of controllers worth ~$250?

It seems so strange to be buying Christmas presents so early - I am a black friday kind of gal, but really don't think I'll find a better deal...or will I?

I found some good wii deals at myshopinsun dot com. Wondering if anyone has bought from that site. Never heard of them but they have a nice deal with extra nunchuck, remote, 2 steering wheels and mario cart. Really a great bundle price but feel nervous since I have never heard of them. Their return policy seems standard. Anyone ever heard of them or have any experience to share?:confused3

checked out the site - WOW some serious deals there - would be interested to here if anybody has done business there. there prices are about half of amazon!

Huh - on second thought - their contact phone number has a few more digits than a normal US one. It is probably some pirated/black market thing. Ain't touching it.

Leads me to believe Nintendo is coming out with a new and better system for Christmas that everyone will just "have to have"......

Eh, doubt that. Most likely the price cut is in response to the cuts recently done with Xbox360 and PS3. The PS3 has dropped to $299 and was always the most expensive of the systems. With that drop, Nintendo had to do something to stay ahead of the game.

Then again, I now want a PS3... can't beat that price on a game system + blueray!

never ordered from them, but....if it seems to good to be true then it probably is Nintendo is very strick about their pricing and I see red flags everywhere.

Sounds like an awesome deal to me!

We are considering the wii again for Christmas but only for "moving" games they can get the reg. games on ds if they want those.
But I was asking about a new wii and was told that it would more than likely be atleast 2 years before a new one comes out.

$169.99 + free next day shipping
use code N4ZVL$MQSSFGT8 at Dell exp 9/30

I tried that and it said "coupon has been previously redeemed".

Oh No. I saw it on slickdeals and tried it right before I posted and it was working.

I passed on it too and went with amazon. Has anyone ever used the wii download games membership site? You pay a membership fee and then are able to download wii games. Is that legal? Is that like buying a membership to download music? I don't really know much about all that.

Forgive the naive question, but does Wii Sports come on every system automatically?

I don't know for certain, but I did make sure it was included with the lower price. I didn't want the price to be lowered and have them take away something. :confused3

To be honest, I thought the same thing. "Maybe there will be a better Black Friday deal on the Wii." Then I remembered that last Black Friday...in fact, all the way into January...it was almost impossible to find a Wii in any of our local stores. They all sold out. It didn't matter if there was an in store deal if there was nothing left for purchase.

So, I bought a Wii yesterday after the price drop. (That, and I want to play it before Xmas. Hahaha). But if I were purchasing a Wii as an Xmas present for children this year, I'd have no hesitation about buying it now and putting it up in storage until later.

And as lifelong video gamer, I have to say this...the best video game deals are rarely ever found on Black Friday. Or anywhere near Xmas. And $50+ for a game. Hahaha! Its been a loooooong time since I paid that much for a video game.

another thing I noticed is, beside the phone number, they show a picture of JR electronics store in NY and say it is their store:confused3

Not a good sign.

My DD keeps asking for the Wii, but I just can't see paying so much for a system and the games are $50 or more each especially when I've read reviews where the Wii stops reading the disks or skips and Nintendo charges $75 or more to fix it AND you have to pay for shipping both ways.

You can get games cheaper if you watch for sales or promotions like buy 1 get 1 free or go to gamestop.

Our wii is 3 years old and gets so much use, it did finally break. But because it crashed after a system update nintendo fixed it for free because they think it was their fault. I was shocked but pleasantly surprised. They have great customer service.

I think they did this because the ps3 just price dropped and they are hoping to get some more sales for christmas. It's been out awhile now and they may need to sell some more :lmao:

It will not go cheaper by christmas but I'm sure some bundles or promos may come out for the person that asked. Sometimes those bundls are not worth it though.
