The WIGGLES at Disney?

My 2 year old is a Wiggles fanatic. Just wondering if anyone knows of any show / attraction / characters related to this Australian children's musical group?

It would make my son's day

Unfortunately, the chances of finding the Wiggles at Disney are slim, unless major things have changed.

I work for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and we recently had a child traveling to Disney who wanted so badly to meet the Wiggles. After contacting WDW, however, we were told that they couldn't arrange a meeting because they're not technically a "Disney" character(s)/product, they're just broadcast through Disney.

Sorry to disappoint.

......hmm, so if I hire four guys in primary colored shirts with faux Euro accents I could have them meet me in MGM because, technically, they're not Disney product?

If so, I think that I could make my son happy *and* pay for my vacation through some T Shirt sales and lunchtime performances in the parking lot.

When I read the topic I thought someone had heard that the Wiggles were going to be there!!

We saw them live when they were in town and it was a great show. My kids were three at the time and just loved it!

I'm sure you could have them meet you, although I think there may be laws against charging for performances in the parking lot. I'm not sure of the technicalities, but I'm thinking it would be soliciting of some sort...not sure...kinda like selling Girl Scout cookies outside our local supermarket without a permit. I think they're probably copyrighted too, so you'd have to get permission from whomever licenses them in order to use their likeness.


However, in the event that you DO schedule a performance or two, let me know - I'm sure there's still a Wish Kid who'd sell her sister to meet them!!

I sent the Wiggles an e-mail about a month ago about them touring in the Midwest. The reply said they were going to be back in the Midwest Summer of this year. Just have to wait and see!!

Which characters from Disney Channel shows (Bear in the Big Blue House, Clay, etc...) are at WDW regulary?

Just so you're aware, The Wiggles have created a few 'likeness' bands......the music, costumes, characters are all original Wiggles material, but the guys in the shirts are different Australians. The kids don't know obviously, and this way they can penetrate a lot more markets.

So, what I was hoping was that one of these faux Wiggles performances might have been built into MGM somehow.....

The best three words to describe The Wiggles......Crack for Kids!! My kids love them, I catch myself walking around at work singing "Fruit salad....Yummy, Yummy! I can put one of the DVD's in and it's quiet for 55min. Gotta luv it!!!


I think they are going to be at Disney in CA when they open the playhouse Disney show.

I read that too that they were going to be in Disneyland for the opening of Playhouse Disney. I know I have read trip reports of people seeing the Wiggles in Disney World, but I'm not sure if they have performed there. We too are addicted to the Wiggles. In reference to another post where they were creating likenesses so that they could penetrate other markets, I also read that somewhere, but I thought it was more in the Chinese, Japanese, etc. "foreign language" areas where they would have problems learning or singing in the language.

We DID see the Wiggles in Fantasyland in December when they were filming the Christmas parade special for ABC, but I'm pretty sure it was a one time thing and we just happened to be waiting in line at Ariel's Grotto at the right time. My DD (3 1/2) is still talking about it and will probably be disappointed when they aren't there on our next trip.

They were there for the taping of the Chistmas day speacial. I think they taped it on the second Saturday after Thanksgiving. But they may have done that day because the weather was real bad the day before.

It was a fun day to be there because there were lots of celebs. And if you want to do rides tons of people just stand around for the taping so some rides are easier to get on.

What a great photo of your daughter and the Wiggles!! I am glad to see that we are not the only household in the USA who has caught WIGGLE FEVER!!! Our 4 y/0 DS just loves those guys!! Could you imagine the swooning preschoolers if MGM added a Wiggles show to the Playhouse Disney show?! It would be mayhem!!
