Thursday 22nd May

Animal Kingdom today and we head straight for Dinosaur to get fast passes. We attempt to do a babyswitch but are unsuccessful! Zak is asleep in his buggy and they don't give out tickets like they do everywhere else so as far as I'm concerned there is no babyswap on this ride unless you're prepared to wake your baby to take them through the queue, be warned though, if you do, there's nowhere to wait either, the babyswitch people just hang around the back of the shop and then enter the ride through the exit when the first riders get off, I thought this was badly done and quite honestly anyone could walk through the exit and say they were doing a babyswitch as they didn't seem to have any way of checking.

The ride broke down while Si & Rads were on it, they'd stopped in front of the 'scary' dinosaur which apparently was a far scarier experience than the actual ride, I was quite surprised though that they didn't get to ride again because of this.

After the initial disappointment and a long wait as we'd had to queue twice we headed for the new part, rode Triceratops spin with Zak which made him smile a lot, and then did Primeval whirl, we did a parentswitch there as well, no buggies in the queue but as Zak was awake we carried him through and they have a proper area with seating for you to wait and swap adults when the first exits the ride, a lot more organised than Dinosaur.
Ate lunch at Restaurantasauras which was disappointing, we've eaten here in the past and been very happy but this time was a very long wait for mediocre cold food, just bad luck I guess.
Onto The Kali River Rapids, babyswap worked well there, we queued together and they had an area at the front of the queue under fans for parents and the 'too smalls to ride' to wait. We somehow managed to come off pretty dry as there was one poor girl in our rapid who got literally EVERY bit of water over her that landed on us!.

Next into the Maharaja jungle trek and on to Camp Minnie Mickey for those all important character greeting that Rads adores. Then we waited for the parade, Zak got tons of attention from the characters as pretty much all of them came over to make a fuss of him, which delighted him and us, I felt sorry for R though as it seemed more obvious that they weren't making a fuss of her, although she didn't appear to notice and was delighted her baby brother was getting so much attention.
Then the rain and storm started so it was back to the hotel on the bus for showers and we decided to drive into I-Drive for dinner, ended up eating at Denny's diner which was very good food and ridiculously cheap! :)

Friday 23rd May

It was dark skies, thunder and rain when we woke up so we decided to more our laundry and shopping day to today, up to the laundry room on the 4th floor just in time to beat the rush, then we drove out to the Premium outlets on I-Drive a la recommended in the Brit's guide. (Thanks Simon, your book was an invaluable guide). Somehow we managed to spend the entire afternoon and evening there, this you understand is purely because of having to make frequent baby stops and nothing at all to do with my shopping addiction.;)

Bought several years worth of baby clothes in OshKosh for very little money and stocked us all up with new trainers to take home when we binned the ones we'd wear for the trip, I'm not into breaking new footwear in while walking round themeparks! We also had a look in the Disney outlet store, why oh why didn't I buy the Winnie the Pooh gold earrings for $40????
After a hectic day's shopping (and we didn't leave the outlets till 9.30pm – ooops) it was off to Friendlies for dinner, this is a great place to eat, great food, great service and VERY cheap.
