A last minute trip for us - We were planning on going to Hershey, PA today (7-30-04) and out kids came down with some kind of virus. Fevers, coughing (and coughing and coughing) and ear infections. We decided to nix the vacation plans, but upon checking with the airline Web site, I found I could change our plane tickets for $25 a piece and we found seats to Florida!!! That's where we wanted to go in the first place, but couldn't use our Freq Flyer Miles. Woo-Hoo!! Three days at WL and three days at the Poly. Aug 12-18. Can't WAIT!!!!!!

WOW....I started this thread on February 4, 2004. Seems like yesterday.

We are 1 DAY AWAY.

to all going in August ( or any other time ) have a safe trip and a great time.

For those at POR, or visiting POR, you will find me dancing away in the River Roost on the nights Bob is playing.

I will be having a blast and, most likely, making a fool of myself.
BUT...I will never see those people AGAIN. ( yeah right...until the next night.)

I forgot how hard this is.... We're so close to vacation, but it is just harder and harder waiting. The anticipation is greater the closer we get!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But, I am thankful that we can go to Disney.

I made my ressie @ the BC months ago right when the last round of AP codes came out. We'd stayed @ the BC before and wanted to try the YC but I had heard rumblings of rehab work so I decided on the BC. I've since found out the work being done is neglible (SAB in Nov. seems like a bigger issue), so I called today to see if I could switch just for the heck of it. I was amazed we were able to make the change. I guess timing is everything since we're going so close to the start of school 8/25-8/31. Just thought I'd pass this on. Maggie

We are going from 8/27 - 9/3, staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary and my 50th birthday. Can't wait, the lodge is beautiful. We will also do Sea World and Universal for a day.

Does Disney refund your trip if there is a huricane during your stay?
I forgot when I booked my vacation that it was the begining of huricane season!!!
I was so busy worrying about the heat. I guess the heat is do-able but terrential huricane rains and wind gusts may throw a wrench in the plan!
