...I think everyone deserves a proper funeral. You must remember that he thought what he was doing was RIGHT. That's his religion. He was still a bad person though
Actually, it was a very warped version of his religion as there are many many Muslims who do not believe in what he said, including quite a bit of Bin Laden's own family. But I digress.
You have a very good point. It was his religion even if many people think he was nuts. And maybe the military found it fair to do that, I really don't know. What gets me is that there isn't really any evidence to prove his death and because of that a lot of conspiracies are going to go down.
Ok people are probably getting annoyed with this topic by now so I'll stop!
This will be my last word on bin Laden's death, but I think they do have evidence. He actually didn't just die last night. His death was confirmed last night by some DNA I think it was. They are hoping to do more tests to make sure, but I think if the theory that he died a few days back is true, he is dead.
This girl was on our cheer team, and said she she was quitting cheer cause she was too busy, but then she went and joined and all star team, which takes up even more time.
They buried him at sea mostly so his grave wouldn't become a shrine to his followers. Besides, from what I understand it is not a proper burial in the Muslim faith, as a body is supposed to be buried facing Mecca. I think the only part complying with Muslim law is the "buried within 24 hours" bit.
That makes a lot of sense. And I completely forgot about the Muslim faith aspect of it all. I agree that the 24 hours bit is the only thing they are going by, but why I do not know.
I think it was best they gave him a proper burial. It would ease the tension between us and Al Qaeda. They are probably already angry he's dead. Like I'm glad he's finally gone since we've now hit the central system of Al Qaeda and are even more safe. Because of him, 3,000 people aren't alive right now.
^This. Im guessing the Al Qaeda are still going to be mad at us about it, but Im hoping the reason for the burial was to ease the tension or show that we aren't monsters trying to destroy every one of them.

Most Muslims that do not live in the United States believe in the same thing Osama did... they believe to fight for their religion and kill others who do not believe the same thing they do. It's an honorable way to die, by fighting for your religion. Osama took it to the next level, but it's still the same. /done
