Kim, your kitchen looks like the apartment that our contractor is rennovating except our doors aren't back yet! Do you have before pictures?

Marilyn, sounds like you had quite an adventure. We don't have Wegmans here either, sounds interesting.

Glynis, I hope your lemon pie came out!

Jen, I hope your sickie house gets better. We're plugging away, but still hacking.

Brandi, the Kung Pao sounds really good.

Nan, I can't believe what Anna went through! That's awful.

Me? The dang freezer died again. This time everything was still cold and I hope still frozen in the middle, but I put most of the meat in another freezer, and only have a ham, turkey, and prime rib to cook this week. Hopefully I'll feel better enough to cook them all.

 Just a fly-in fly-out (FIFO) check in. Will try and catch up tomorrow.

Happy 29th Feb everyone!

Kim, I like your new cabinets! Until the renovation is done I stay stick with takeout!

Hope everyone is feeling better today.

Popping in a few pictures of dinners from this week so far. Vegetable quiche:

Morning, everyone. It's another winter storm day here!

Whatever bug hit Timmy a couple of days ago, hit me hard yesterday afternoon. By about 4:30, I was in bed! Fever, achy, etc. I'm fine this morning, but it was yucky for a few hours!

This morning, I get to go to Katie's school to listen to the high school counselors tell us what she needs to graduate in 3 more years. That feels so weird! I can't believe she only has 3 and a half more years of school before graduation! Where does the time go???

Dinner tonight will be corn chowder, biscuits, and lemon pie for dessert (Yes, Jen, I'm trying your recipe!!! Can't wait).

Alison, time to get another freezer.....
:rolleyes1

I feel like

I have some kind of allergies and head cold stuff going on, that is making my throat feel like crap....

I need something to stop, maybe like this weather, icky rain and cold.:guilty:

Feel better.

I wish the weather would pick a season already. :sad2: I went to a Dr's appointment this morning so was late getting to work and thankfully a coworker was leaving so I could park in the garage, I couldn't find my umbrella. :headache: As it was I was soaked walking the short distance from the garage to the office.

....I can't seem to find a specific pic that I have, with my DS standing in the middle of the kitchen as the Predator...

What? Did DS do something to cause the remodel? :confused3

Tonight will be Prime Rib for dinner. I think I'm going to cook it first for 2 hours low and slow. Then I'll let it cool and reheat it again. Today begins the big meats cook. I hope I'm up to it. :faint:

Let me know how the cake pie is!

Glad Timmy's doing better. Make sure you take time to rest so you don't get a bit of a relapse!

Dang. Is this the same freezer?

I'm home. I'm tired. Today was busy!

We're having burgers and oven fries for dinner, courtesy of UncleR.

The weather is soooo warm. It's going to be in the 80's tomorrow for the first day of March. :scared1: I need something to cook tomorrow that won't warm up the house!

Hope everyone has a great evening and a great tomorrow!

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry that I am not keeping up. I cannot wait for Bud to get back to work, he is making my DISing very difficult :lmao: I have been cooking, really I have.

Marilyn- That must be one awesome store!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glynis- Take it easy, that bug is nasty. Katie is only 3 years away from graduating????? I remember your photo from yesterday when all for were ready for the first day of school ;)

Allison- new freezer!

Jen- we are having burgers adn fries tonight too! I have Kady and I think that she will like that for dinner. Last night she had ravioli and red sauce. She took one look at my chicken and veggie stir fry and almost gagged :upsidedow

Kim- your kitchen is going to look beautiful but I sympathize with you while the work is going on. No stove is not good though, I cannot see how you get creative if you cannot cook so order out!

Hello all. Just got home from having a half a root canal, they couldn't finish it today I have to go back in two weeks.

It wasn't the wisdom tooth after all, it was an abcess that the dentist was shocked I wasn't in excrutiating (sp?) pain with. :confused3 That's why I thought it was the tooth trying to come in the wrong place because it hardly bothered me at all and, it was actually tooth shaped and didn't change size or anything.

My dentist was worried it was a fractured tooth, it wasn't, and boy would I have been ticked off because that probably would have happened when she did the filling replacement. I had not problems with that tooth AT ALL until she did the replacement.

Dinner tonight is chicken, mashed potatoes and asparagus.

Mar~ Hope you're doing okay after your root canal.

Nan~ Enjoy your burgers and your evening with Kady!

Good evening y'all! Tomorrow is Friday! :cool1:

Work's been busy. But only one more week till Spring Break. :yay:

Tonight I made another one of Aimee's recipes...Spinach Tortellini Bake. And whooo boy, it was good! Thanks Aimee!

Hope everyone else is doing good.

Hi, everyone. I have had a crazy day today, and this is the first time I've popped on the list. Wow! Maybe that's why my day has felt all out of whack!

Nancy - I can't believe she's almost 15! She'll be getting her learner's permit this summer... if I can convince Alan to take her driving! Yikes! It really hit me this morning, as she asked me to help her with the back of her hair, and I had to stand on a step stool to be able to do it... she towers over me, now!

Jen - The cake/pie was really good! The only bad part was the crust. I think it was in my freezer too long. It just didn't taste right. The filling was really good, though!

Marilyn - Sorry about the root canal! We spent the afternoon at the dentist, as well. Just checkups and cleanings on the twins. I'm happy to report that there were no cavities, and I had the dentist go ahead and do sealant on the last of their baby teeth. I know they'll be losing them soon, but Mary's are really bad (due to problems from when she was a newborn, plus being a twin and having Leslie leach all the nutrients).

Dinner tonight is a new pasta recipe. Spinach, pine nut pasta. I got it in an email, so I'm crossing my fingers that it will be good! I'm a bit nervous, but it really sounded good, and it uses fresh spinach which I have and need to use up! I'll report back tomorrow on how it is.

Book club tonight, so I'll cook dinner and leave. We just finished reading "State of Wonder" by Ann Patchett. I really liked it, but not as much as her earlier book "Bel Canto." Anyway, I'll check back in tomorrow before bowling!

Dang. Is this the same freezer?

::yes:: We need a new freezer, and the worst part is that we can't even use the So Edison Recycling program to get a $50 rebate because this one is Dead D.E.D. Dead! It can't even be plugged in and running for when they pick it up.

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry that I am not keeping up. I cannot wait for Bud to get back to work, he is making my DISing very difficult :lmao: I have been cooking, really I have.

I hope your life gets easier soon! I know how it is when you other half is running you ragged! :lmao:

Yikes! Sounds painful! I hope you feel better now!

Yay for Spring Break! We are doing better, I wouldn't say "good" yet. I hope the rest of your family is doing OK!

I hope your pasta dish was good and the book club was fun tonight!

We had French Dip sandwiches with leftover Prime Rib from last night. Yummy! :goodvibes

Last night was Carnitas... and tonight will be grilled Salmon and Roasted Brussels...

I have had a hard time with all of the allergy stuff going on around here.:happytv:

Well, the pasta dish was a no-go for me. It just didn't have a lot of flavor. Alan liked it, but that man will eat anything, so I don't go by him. I'm not sure if it's a recipe I'll even keep to try to "nanatize." Just don't know if it's worth it when there are other, better recipes out there.

We got SLAMMED with winter last night. It started snowing at about 9:00, and so far, we've accumulated almost 4 inches on our front yard. I'm hoping the plows are out and about, as I have bowling this morning. I'm really not looking forward to that drive.

Dinner tonight will be baked creamy chicken taquitos. Yummy!! I love this recipe!
