....tonight's dinner: pork roast with onions and sauerkraut in the crock pot.

Hi all....

I think I am caught up...

I must tell you that I have been sleeping so much... Almost 12 hours a day...Lots of naps during the day.

I am in pain but it is getting less by the day.

The Dr was very happy with the results, it is a very straight toe....

So I have 12 stitches outside, 22 inside, two titanium screws, and about a 1/4 inch less bone in my foot.

I went back to the Dr on Monday and he was happy and he wants to see me again on Monday for the stitches removal. He said I would be out of work for 6 to 8 weeks...

I am on crutches right now, so there is no planning dinner from me... DH has been getting me anything my taste buds will like, so hopefully he will grill chicken tonight...

Hope everyone has a wonderful day...

Oh My Brandi! take care of yourself and let DH do all the cooking (and clean up) Naps are good! Glad the pain is lessening ..

HI everyone, remember me?? ;)

WFDT ~ Lemon shrimp pasta bake, green salad and garlic bread.

Hello there! I am glad things are slowing down for you a bit. Care to share the recipe for the shrimp bake? I have some shrimp in my freezer that I have to use up.

FB is a tool to communicate but not everyone uses it wisely.

I definitely agree with this! It amazes me what some people put on their pages. And now of course those same "oversharers" are freaking out because of timeline. I didn't have to make any edits to my stuff before switching to timeline because I don't put anything intensely personal on my facebook. It's just food photos, vacation photos, and other stuff like that. Of course, I had two of John's "oversharer" relatives unfriend me because they said I didn't share enough! You can't please everyone I guess...

I am so happy that you were able to sell your crop! I know the past couple of years have been tough.

WFD: not sure yet. I have a fridge full of food so I have lots of choices.

Brandi - It's nice to see you posting again! Hopefully your recovery will speed right along!

Well, it's day 2 of potty training here. Timothy seems to be ready, and we had a pretty good day. However, it's all reminding me that I'm way too OLD to be doing this! It's a good thing I love the little guy, or I'd just give up and let his kindergarten teacher take care of it! Actually, I'm pretty optimistic that things will go ok. Tomorrow will be the real test. I have to take him with me to bowling, and we'll see how the training goes outside of the house.

Nothing fancy for dinner tonight... it will be either tuna casserole or soup and sammies.

Morning everyone,

Aimee ~ my dear friend. I am here if you need a shoulder.

Brandi ~ Good to see you around. Glad that is over!!!

Merle ~ Doug hates doing colletctions - I hear ya!! I hope the bottle was enjoyed.

Nan ~ I am over the moon for you and Buddy!! You have had a few rough years. I so know how you feel when it is finally done and sold - that is the same feeling we have each time we take a load of cattle to the sale.

Jen & Becky ~ I will post the recipe tomorrow. I am at work and the recipe of course is at home. It was very light and yummy.

Glynis ~ Good luck on the potty training. And lady - YOU ARE NOT TO OLD!!!! Enough said!

The sun is shining today but it is coolder than blazes out there. Wind chill of -9. Looks nice but sooooo cold.

I just have to share - yesterday when Elizabeth dropped Ethan off at Church - he had Chimes, choir, then Faith Friends. He looked at his Momma and said, "Bye Mom and bye Liam, I will be back soon but now I have to go learn about Jesus". I just about melted. What a sweetie.

WFDT ~ Talipa, boiled parsley potatoes, and roasted asperagus.

Make it a great day!!!

Me too! I have one friend who shares just about everything her child does, including the favorite place to go when filling a diaper. She was nice enough to post a picture one day. :sad2:

Didn't drink my wine last night. Ended up with KFC on the way home because I was drained at the end of the day. I was afraid I'd drink the whole bottle then wouldn't be able to get up today. :rotfl:

Tonights dinner will be shrimp and orzo.

Last night for dinner, David found the last dish that I had perpped prior to surgery and he made some potatoes to go with...

Tonight he is on his own. He..he..he.. I am ready.

Soooo, ummmmm, how did it go? ;)

Popping in quickly. Not sure what's for dinner. I have no idea. I hope everyone is having a great day! :)

 Hope you're well.

Hi everyone! I'll try to catch up!

Nancy - Great news on the crop! I haven't been around long enough to know about past years, but this year sounds like a blessing!

Glynis - Potty training! Actually for me it was the part before the potty training that I knew I couldn't have kids. I can't even do the cat boxes. Good luck!

Ellen - Nice to see you back around.

Jen - You and UncleR have inspired me! Waffles and bacon are going on my dinner schedule. Have a great time at lunch!

Brandi - I hope your DH is a good cook! Or at least skilled with take out! :rotfl2:

Aimee - I hope you feel better soon!

Becky - I am too amazed what people post. I rarely say much personal stuff either. I don't even post vacation photos anymore because no one seems to comment, so I post them in my PTR/TRs here.

Marilyn - I hope you get to enjoy that GLASS of wine soon! :goodvibes

Kim - sounds like you're a good cook, too bad your DH is anti food porn!

Janice - Prayers for your friend!

WFD? Egg Foo Young with turkey. We replaced all the doorknobs at the FILs, finally! Need to hang drapes, put up blinds, finish cleaning, not sure what else, but we're going to put out the For Rent sign out. We need the money!!!!!!

Catching up!

Ellen - Nice to see you back posting. :flower3:

Marilyn - Hope the one or three drinks was good.

Aimee - Hope you're feeling better.

Nancy - Did the ankle get better? Congrats on the crop sale! :thumbsup2

Becky - What did you eat at the Cambodian place? I tend to stick with the cambodian rice noodles or the broken rice. Otherwise, it seems more like Vietnamese cuisine to me.

Jen - It's Friday night here already...made it through Friday the 13th so far.

Brandi - Hope your recovery is going well.

Lindsay - Hello. I noticed your light on.

Kimmar - Do you have a sauerkraut recipe for the crockpot? Share, please!!

Janice - Prayers for your friend from Oz.

Glynis - Good luck with potty training. I'm glad I'm no longer at that phase.

Alison - Hope the house reno/cleaning finishes soon.

BigSis1970 - Welcome to the thread.

It's Friday night and we had fish and chips tonight. I've been really good with my diet all week and am looking forward to hitting WW on Monday. Definitely time to shift the extra mass and spare tyre.

I haven't taken any food porn lately...we've been having sratchy meals. A lot of zucchini. :sad2:

Have a good day all.

Good Friday mornin' to y'all. Today is all day meeting day! :cool1: :lmao:

But, it's a 3 day weekend and tomorrow is date day!

Tonight's dinner is chicken spaghetti. The recipe is from my supervisor, and I've never made chicken spaghetti, so we'll see how this goes! :teeth:

Hope everyone has a great start to their weekend!

...what's chicken spaghetti? :confused3

[....BTW, tonight's dinner for us is shrimp scampi....;) ]

Marilyn - Hope the one or three drinks was good.
:thumbsup2

Three day weekend!:cheer2: And with nothing much to do but clean and work on projects.

Making a pork chop for dinner tonight. Going very simple and coating it in Italian Panko bread crumbs and baking it. Not sure what I will have with it yet.

Morning, all! It's a freeeeeeeeeezing 26 degrees here today! I love it! I am heading out to meet my mom to do shopping and some lunch. I will pick up something to eat while I'm out today.

Everyone have a great day!

How are the roads by you? Did you get any of the storm that moved through?

Becky - What did you eat at the Cambodian place? I tend to stick with the cambodian rice noodles or the broken rice. Otherwise, it seems more like Vietnamese cuisine to me.

Copying from the menu, we shared an appetizer of:

Vegan Rouleaux
Cambodian spring rolls with shiitake mushroom, noodles, peanut, carrot and onion; served with greens and herbs for wrapping and tuk trey for dipping

Then I had:

Crevettes Amrita
Natural shrimp sautéed in a lightly sweet and spicy Cambodian satay sauce with coriander, cumin, cardamom, galangal, cinnamon, ginger, peanuts, star anise and lemongrass; with button mushroom, onion and scallion (I would have liked more spicy and less sweet)

John had:

Filet de Thon Saisi aux Deux Coulis Pimentés
Rare, pan-seared tuna loin encrusted with bread crumbs; sliced over spiced red and green chili cream sauces with crisped pear and scallion ravioli (this was off the French side of the menu)

I have been taking pictures but not uploading them. Last night I made baked ziti. Tonight I am making pizza and John and I are watching Moneyball.

Stay warm Lindsay! That cold weather is heading up our way tonight. Tomorrow evening the wind chill is going to be below zero. Brrr!

Janice, I will add your friend to my prayers.

I hope everyone has a good weekend! I am looking forward to the long holiday weekend so much!

I so agree - you never know what they are going to say. Sometimes its cute and good, and sometimes it's not. But it is always the truth.
I agree with you on FB. I have 27 friends - that's it. I don't understand `1/2of it so I tend to stay away. :rotfl2:
Prayers are being said for your friend.

Jen and Uncle Remus ~ enjoy your date tomorrow.

Alison ~ Good luck with renting your FIL's house.

PIO ~ Good luck at WW tomorrow.

Kimmer ~ hi!! :flower3:

Merle ~ I too have a 3 day weekend. I can't wait. I hope you have a great day.

Lindsay ~ Enjoy your lunch and time with your Mom. Don't ever take this time for granted.

Becky ~ I will post my Lemon Shrimp Pasta Bake in the next post. It was so easy and good. I hope you enjoy it.
Please tell Laura hi and that we understand, but really miss her. I think of her and the kids often.

Thank God it's Friday......even if it is Friday the 13th. So far nothing funny has happend or gone wrong. I hope it stays that way.

Busy weekend planned. We are going to Stephanie & Marty's tomorrow to help get the nursery all set. There is some painting to do and new trim and doors. Once the guys get out of there, we can go in and get the fun stuff all ready. I can't wait!!

Marty got a new smoker for Christmas so I have requested ribs for dinner tomorrow. YUM!!!

WFDT ~ Sloppy Joes, curly fries and coleslaw.
