Marilyn--I hope they find a place for the snow, around here they fill up dump trucks then take it to this old empty parking lot and dump it, there will be 4-5 huge mountains of snow. It will seriously be into July before the last of it melts....it is such an ugly mess to see when you drive by as it is full of dirt and such.

We have hardly any snow right now...in fact we are going outside this afternoon to do some yard clean up and rack leaves that never got taken care of before the snow came. It looks like May around here. I have a feeling Mother Nature is going to nail us next month.

July!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought that the pile of icey snow that lasted until May in my front yard a few years ago was bad!

We are having our taxes done this afternoon hope we get a good return could really use it.

I have not even gotten my stuff together. I have to do it next week

Well it is snowing here AGAIN!! I am so sick of snow, ice and cloudy weather. Just makes for a gloomy day and attitude. I am trying to keep the chin up but darn it is getting hard. I really need me my sun soon.

I am feeling better each day and for that I am thankful. So very glad the pain is almost gone. I am ready to eat a real meal again.

I hope Spring comes quickly!

Today my dad and brother are here and we are going out tonight to celebrate my brother's birthday. He wants steak so I'm going to give him a few thoughts and let him decide.

He is the one who adopted Ace so Ace is here for the day with him. Such a cutie!

Well, yard sales were a bust. We were looking for a couple of living room pieces to hold us over till we found something we liked....nothing. Not even one piece for me to decide I didn't like!

Well dinner is out tonight. My sister is off tonioght so we are joining them for dinner. She is going to try to get in where my nephew's GF is working. We have not met her yet so I hope we can tonight.

I have not done a thing today but laundry. It is a good thing the house is pressentable becasue I would be in trouble!

Lori--I am giggling as the top of our fridge is just the icing on the cake as well, lol......we also have the "booze fridge" which is full too. (freezer included for vodka and jager). Kris just said the other day we need to put locks on it and make a wooden lock box for the booze on the top now that Ross is older nad friends are coming and going.

I think we need to get together and help each other consolidate it

I have been doing paperwork most of the morning. Ya know, the fun stuff like going through bills and paying them and pulling up a credit report to check the accounts are what they're supposed to be and calling and closing inactive accounts. Good times. I had been neglecting to keep good records in January and February so I went through and caught up on all of that and now all I have left to do for it is to file the papers in the folders.

ETA: Lori (BP) - I just had to go find the photos of your new FL apartment. It's very nice!! I like it! LOL at the fridge! Are you going to post pictures of your place in NOLA before you're totally moved out? I'm just wondering what it looks like compared to the new place...which is much more sterile, yet-unlived-in, and "rental white" than what I envision your FQ place to look like!

If I was going to start a wacky FB group today, it'd be "I'm only wearing a jacket in this weather to hide my pajama top".

Marilyn, I hope they get you dug out soon. Pittsburgh was also having trouble finding spots to put the snow. My MIL was telling me they used to dump it in the rivers but I guess they cant do that with all the chemicals in the salt, etc they throw down.

There are a lot of snow mountains around here. Haven't been out today so I don't know if they did come do the street.

Wanted to go to the Amish market today but had a bad headache last night. I had not sooner fallen asleep when my DM came down and woke me up asking about something. So of course I ended up being up until after 3 and slept late this morning and really don't have the energy to do anything.

I got a WHO DAT at the football today,I has my Saints cap on and while I was taking my seat a lad about 20 rows away shouted.

It was too funny,I shouted back " We DAT,Won DAT " and we both gave a massive cheer and danced...cue weird looks and stares,weggie fitbaw fans just didnae get it !!

And while walking to the fitbaw I saw a wee lassie going to the shops in her jammies,not some crazy auld woman...a wee lassies...full jammies and slippers !! ?

Maria, ...pizza, yuck! Dh wanted pizza and we have had some pretty bad ones lately. We made the mistake of a new place...the dough was raw! I ended up throwing it out.

Don't you hate that!


We tried a local spot that was recommended to me and it was awesome. I love when that happens - esp since it was for someone else's birthday! I ordered chicken fried steak, the guys all got filet, and we split fried green tomatos for appetizer and key lime pie and pecan pie for dessert. So yummy.

I am feeling much better today - even took a nice long nap, which I haven't been able to do much due to visitors in the afternoons.

The birthday party was good. Sad that my cousin is in the state he is in and not being able to particapate.
Sorry Ann it was at a pizza place with great pizza but mediocre salads. I have been having a taste for a really good salad lately. I may just have to get some stuff while I am out today.

Tonight we are having Maple sugar-Ginger pork roast with potatoes and salad. I have to do something with some buttermilk I bought so we will have dessert to.

We are supposed to get a lot of snow tonight. I hope we don't get much. I want spring to come. I am tired of seeing white.

It is a beautiful day here.

The boy and I went out on the bikes earlier,it was so much fun.

He now has a 4 HOUR dance class !!

He will be shattered tonight but he really LOVES it.....he told me this morning that dancing was his passion,bless him.

Im going to have a long soak in the bath with my book,have a great day lassies.

Kat loved your picture from Boardwalk I was just there in January and had a great time. The view out of my room was the parking lot, but even that was great. I love sitting on the balcony especially at night watching people come "home" after a funfilled day I love the pool at the Beach club but that resort does not have standard view rooms which cost less vacation club points

Gretchen I hope Jessica is doing better, I can imagine how hard it is to see her like that. At least with her background she will be a very motivated and knowledgeable rehab patient

Loving all the food pictures , it is inspiring me to get a new camara and experiment
I haven't been cooking much over the last few days Friday takeout fish and chips (seeing its Lent , I feel virtuous eating fried fish)
Last night went to a birthday party for my great nephew, and their side of the family is Italian, say no more,mmmmm
Today making a baked shrimp scampi from the Barefoot contessa over angel hair pasta, salad and will also cook for weekay meals , meatballs, and sauce

Ladies I also do not like the jammie thing. We have a neighbor down teh street, she goes everywhere in her pajamas. She has a 16 YO son!

Dinner last night was pretty good. The appetizers were awesome, very flavorful toasts with all kinds of toppings. WE also met Timmy's GF. Oh my she is sweet!
