Good Morning! Still not feeling great here...not sure about dinner. I am not planning on cooking anything too special. T is still runny, etc. but in good spirits.

Glynis and Michelle, hope the kids are feeling better today.

Good morning, everyone!

Well, the birthday celebration had to be cut short here. Timothy is still sporting a high fever, and coughing and horrible runny nose. We are alternating tylenol and motrin, but it just keeps spiking. Poor guy, he's so miserable!

We did manage to get away for a quick lunch at Cafe Zupa's. It was yummy, but by the time we were done, we got a message to hurry home. Leslie was sporting the high fever, and was throwing up. What a fun day!

Those of us who were well, went to the Pie Night at the neighbor's and Alan stayed home with the sickies.

Today is not much better. Leslie is ok, but Timothy's fever just won't go away. We're giving it until afternoon, and then we'll take him to either the ER or the Instacare. Wish us luck!

I have no idea what's for dinner. We'll have to see how things go this afternoon.

It is dark and drippy here. I plan on taking it easy today. I have a headache that doesn't seem to want to go away.

Ham sandwiches and potato wedges with a spicey ranch dressing. I need to get to the store later I want some fruit to go with dinner.

I whined about not wanting to mess with cleaning a kitchen last night, since my dad came over today and I was trying to clean house, so we ordered BBQ instead. It was good

Today is not much better. Leslie is ok, but Timothy's fever just won't go away. We're giving it until afternoon, and then we'll take him to either the ER or the Instacare. Wish us luck!

There is a concert tonight I'm supposed to usher/greet at, and my dad is at my house this afternoon because he plans to go as well. I'll see how I'm feeling. My plan is to make roasted shrimp and lemon pasta with garlic bread for dinner.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, Zachy seems to be feeling a little better today.

Dinner is up in the air. I was going to make either cod with roasted tomatoes over angel hair or beer roasted chicken but my parents are coming over for a visit at 3pm. They live an hour away and are never clear if its a short visit or if they want to have dinner with us. So I never know if I should start cooking or not so probably a last minute decision.

Gretchen -- I'm glad things are still progressing on the house. I thought of you the other day because I was organizing and came across a top Greg gave me for Christmas this year. I hadn't unpacked it, but when I did, I discovered that it is TEN sizes too big!!! So you can add that to your list.

Marisa -- Nice to see you back! I'm glad you're able to get around now. Like Janice, I don't even like having my car in the shop. I may not go anywhere, but knowing that I could if I wanted to is enough to keep me from going nuts.

Hey y'all,

Sorry I didn't check in yesterday. We had a b-day party for our niece's 10th. We were there most of the day BIL barbecued she did some appetizers of venison wrapped in bacon with a slice of jalapeno, plus lots of other goodies.

I too had a great time with my Nola girls on Friday! We laughed almost as much as we did on our F&W trip last year.

Speaking of F&W, we are booked! Yay!!! I'll post our dates on FB.

Vickie, I'm really excited we will get to see you again this year!!!!

I read back just one page, so I'm not totally caught up, so forgive me if I miss someone.

Not much cooking here, we had leftovers from our dinner Friday for lunch. I think I'm going to fix either nachos or french bread pizza for game food. Just us here, DD & SIL are going to the game. I'm soo jealous!

What w week your family is having

Dinner last night was late but good. We had a bone in roast pork with mashed potatoes, haricots verts, corn salad and gravy. I bought one of those gynormous chocolate cakes from costco for Marsha Fiona and decorated it with fancy candles. Kady bought her a snuggi and an I Carli outfit from Build a bear. She is one well dressed Doll! Donny wanted to know why MF got more money than he did when it was his birthday?????? Ummmmm....because she is a girl


He did surprise us, he bought a brand new crankin TV so he brought his to us. We do not buy something untill ours is dead so this is a surprise. Buddy is parked in front of 5o inches of Jets vs Colts as we speak

Dinner was early in fron of the game. Meatball grinders and chips. Welby brought Nola over for a visit, she woke up crying so she needed her Pa. WE are enjoying Rosa right now and will have leftover chocolate cake watching .....wait for it.......................................

Donny is hoping they win.....he does not follow Fb but we all get together for teh Superbowl. I promised Po' Boys, Muffeletta and he got me to sy I would try to make jambalaya if the Saints go all the way!

Aimee ~ I am so glad your retreat went good. Now I am putting my Momma hat on sweetie - You have felt like poo for so long and you NEED to start feeling better. If the surgeon can get you scheduled now - you need to go for it. I know there are things you want to do, there always will be, but you need to take care of you NOW!!!! Ok, now I have said my peace. And I give you, the peace to do what you want. But please take care of you. You are such a special person and we just want to see you well again.

Marisa ~ It is so good to see you my friend. I am just the opposite of you. If I could stay home completely I would be so happy. At a time in my life though, that was a real problem - I never wanted to leave - so it is something I make myself do daily. But anyway, I am so happy that your life is returning to normal.

Nancy ~ Happy Birthday to Buddy. When the girls were little they had (well I still have them) Cabbage Patch dolls. You won't believe what they're names were (well after all of the similiarities we have, you probably will believe it). Elizabeth's doll's name was Kady Beth and Stephanie's was Mary Fiona. I just couldn't believe it when you posted that. Unbelieveable!! Have a great time.

Glynis ~ I so hope your family start to feel better. I am glad you and Alan were able to get out for a while. I know it was short but it sounds like you had a nice time. I hope today is better.

We met Matthew's new girlfriend, Amy, on Friday night. My roast was tough and dry, which was a real bummer, but the rest of the meal was great. And the rest of the night was wonderful. We really like Amy!! She is a very sweet girl and she is putting a smile back on my boy's face so for that I am thankful. We are anxious to see where this goes.

Saturday I had to go into Kearney to get my hair done. After I got all pretty, we went to Stephanie and Marty's and we all met there and we took everyone out to dinner. We had a ball. I just love it when we are all together. Elizabeth and Stephanie (the Sisters) met Amy and also thought she was a sweetie. We all think she is a keeper - especially Matthew.

We went to late church today, as Ethan was playing chimes (his first time). They were so cute. I had tears in my eyes. I can't beileve how big he is getting. After church I suggested we drive to Cozad to eat lunch. We tried a new place and it was great. But I ate to much and am now ready for a nap.

WFDT ~ nothing - well maybe a bowl of popcorn. We are watching the playoff games this afternoon and will probably just snack.
