Hey all my best girls
I will never be able to catch up from Friday(so I am going to do a cliff notes version).....Kris and I had a fun weekend....Thanks again for all the Anniversary wishes!!
Not quite sure what I really think of this Zone diet...I think weight watchers is much easier and friendly to follow and do. Have any of you done the Zone before? I have done the WW points and it does work for me. (I kind of lost it when my mom died etc)
We leave for vacation in 11 days...mixed feelings on seeing my dad and (ahem) "her". This is the first time in years we are going to Florida and not doing any theme parks....not quite sure what to do with myself, planning wise, lol. We are looking forward to doing the little things, zoo, forts, beach etc etc. Just the fact that I have 7 days of flip flop wearing has me

Here goes my poor attempt at catching up: remember I mean well....
Bethany--Fingers crossed that DH gets a call back on his interview!!
Popovers are Crispy on the outside and hollow and chewy yummy goodness on the inside. They cook by steaming themselves from the inside out...you pierce them with a knife or fork the last few minutes of cooking to let the steam escape so they don't get soggy. After you take them out you open them up and butter them. Kris loves to put strawberry jam on them if I make them for breakfast.
This is my description but Becky I am sure can give a much better one
Laura--Just beautiful on Caili's performance!!
Aimee--

That is awful how long a wait you have to see the Dr...I agree put yourself on the cancellation list. I am surprised they didn't offer you that.
Maria--I am sorry all of you are not feeling well. Ouch to Greg on the gout, my gram and dad get it. What works for my gram better then her meds is cherry juice from the natural food store. It doesn't taste great, but it helps keep the uric acid from building up in her big toe joint.
I wish I lived closer so I could at least help with errands and such.

When you are feeling up to it, could you pm the contact info list? I would like to have it for vacation, Lord knows I might need someone to talk me off a ledge after seeing my dad.
Glynis--I am sorry you are feeling blue. This is such a hard time of year. I have found that the days I don't go tanning or make it to the gym I feel very ho hum. Glad you bit of sunshine helped.
Sheryl--I had to chuckle a bit as I pictured you pouring water on the windshield...like Janice said I never really gave it any thought that you all wouldn't know what to do...I think it is just survival instinct for the northern states
Janice/Gretchen--I can only get away with serving soup/chowder as a meal if it has homemade biscuits on the side and something for dessert to follow.
Kat--I am so sorry that your mil is not adjusting well to the nursing home. It is such a hard adjustment and the guilt for those of us who placed them there is so hard. I wish I lived closer to give you a hug but I will cyber hug ya for now
Marilyn--OUCH....that is a chunk of change for sure....glad you have your wheels back up and running though!!
Nancy--I just love your Nola stories...(almost as much as Buddy stories....almost

).............Thank you for sharing the story of your dad
Lauren--My heart is with you as you struggle with the sadness and stress you are dealing with concerning your db.
Glad things are progressing on the new home!
Hmmmmm I know I missed some.....but not bad....hopefully I can keep up until we leave for vacation.
ps---for those that haven't gone on....please check your fb emails......
