Hey Y'all,

Marisa, My prayers are with you today.

Ann, Prayers being said for you! I know you must be soo ready!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY LAUREN & TOM!!!!

Janice, I hope your cousin can make it!

I recieved this in my email & thought it was a good one to share with y'all.

The Ultimate Quote of the Day

"Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she'll give you a baby. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any grief, be ready to receive a ton of crap."

Last night's dinner.

I've rarely eaten beets. The only kind my Mom tried to feed us was canned, I've since realized that canned veggies taste nothing like the real thing. So I thought I'd give beets a try. Guess What?! I like them, I really like them!

I roasted them wrapped in foil on the grill. I put a head of garlic in with the beets, a little olive oil, cajun seasoning & roasted them about 1/2 hour. Then I put on my other packet of sweet & white potatoes, vidalias, more garlic, with a ton of fresh herbs. I took them off peeled & cut up the beets and tossed them in with the rest of the veggies. Man this was so good!

I had been marinating the lamb chops in a mix of olive oil, red wine, garlic, with Montreal Steak Seasoning & a Beef Seasoning Blend I picked up at a local Lebanese Market. DH said this is the winning marinade for lamb chops. I roasted some corn also. Here's the plated meal.

Ann, I hate to say it but this is how it goes with girls ;)

Laura- I don't know how you are doing but I know that if the sun does not come out soon here there is going to be some sort of disaster in my house! I am so tired of this dreary weather!

Ann, Nancy is right. Caili puts Liam, and anyone else who crosses her, in his place. My dad is happy to take Liam whenever there is a schedule conflict, but if I asked him to take Caili he would be :scared1:.

Nancy, I think there already was a disaster in my house. It looks like it, anyway. I think the only thing saving us at this point is the fact that Liam and Caili have been so busy, they haven't been able to spend too much time together.

I have a Disney souvenir!!!

The best kind too! Happy Anniversary to you and Tom!

So, if you give her any grief, be ready to receive a ton of crap.

Your dinner looked delicious!

No, I am not tired of pictures Glynis!

Bethany -- It will all get done. It always seems like it won't (I am usually still packing boxes as the moving truck arrives) but somehow, it does.

Kathy -- Good luck to the Tigers!

Liam has his playoff game tonight against that tough team. It looks like we might have just enough of a break between raindrops to get it played. I'm just making burgers and hotdogs to eat before we go.

Well, now that we ate early and got everyone geared up to go to the game, the league postponed it due to field conditions. I'm kind of relieved. I wasn't looking forward to sitting out in the drizzle for two hours. It also saves me some money because I was planning to go buy a coat to get me through it.

Checking in before the LSU game starts to see if we have word on Marisa and Ann. Hang in there Ann, Emma is determined to do it her way.;)

I'll check back later to hear about Marisa.

Bethany - Aren't you getting sleepy?

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!:cheer2::cool1::banana::dance3:

Glynis - Awesome pics!!!!!!

Kathy :rotfl2: Maybe Bethany is already napping.

Laura I am sitting here with extra ice in my drink and you are talking coats. Oh the memories.:rolleyes1

The boy vetoed my chinese so pizza it is.

I never did get much done today other than vaccuming and taking a nap. I did make it to the hardware store to check on paint. All I want is beige there are a million shades of beige. I think I found the color but I didn't like the price so tommorrow I'll getting shopping.

Quick flyby before we eat to let you all know that Marisa is on her way home. She went into surgery at 3 Pm and was in for two hours. The Dr was able to repair the torn meniscus and did as much as he could to the cartilage but he said her knee is a mess.

Erica is with her, Nola lasted until 5 but that was it for her. I left as soon as she came out of surgery and Erica was there when she woke up. She was a little sick but feels better now, just sleepy.

Thank you all for your well wishes for her, I love you all so much more than you know :grouphug:

BBL to read what happened today and to see if Little Emma has made her appearance...couldn't wait....I see Ann is still here and the same!

Glynis - I am so lovin your pic's,your family is adorable.

Nancy - Glad all went well with Marisa's surgery, give her hugs from ower the water.

Laura - sorry Liams game was cancelled but glad youse didnt have to sit out in the wet.

Lookin for some help lassies.

I have a beef stir fry recipe, yes I know, its only a stir fry and i shouldnt need a recipe but....well....i do !! :upsidedow

Any ways it calls for Oyster sauce and well with my all things sea " issue " that will not be happening.

So what can I add ?

It has garlic in it but Im thinking it would need something to replace the Oyster sauce.

Bethany, check me out with the cookin questions !! :cool2:

I think we are supposed to warm up a bit starting tomorrow. If it makes the ice rink less than Arctic, I will be happy! Caili is skating two hours a day Tues-Thurs, and the past two days have been frigid.

Ann -- I'm sorry you are still waiting, but little Emma will be worth it. A little bit of stubbornness in a girl is not a bad thing.

Nancy -- Thank you for the update on Marisa. I hope she recovers quickly.

I think you could just substitute soy sauce. Not knowing the whole recipe, I can't be sure, but that would be my first inclination. If the recipe calls for oyster sauce and soy sauce, substitute beef or chicken broth for the oyster sauce.

Laura its really just beef, peppers, broccoli, spring onion ,water chest nuts , bok choy and garlic.

No soy so I guess that would work....OMG....Im soooo embarrassed this is like cooking for idiots !!

My mp3 player got water damaged in the rain today. :sad2:

It turned on and looked okay, then I plugged in the headphones and it went wonky. Now, I can turn it on and hear audio, but the screen is just showing a solid bluish-gray screen. :headache:

Help? :confused3
