What was it called again...Im gonnae read it too ?

Glynis- those pic's are great.

Not feeling to great today (tummy troubles again) but i did have a great weekend

We took the bairns( the boy,my nephew and niece) to a country park for a picnic on sat.
It was a beautiful day,the wee ones had a ball.
Its just so nice to see them run around in the fresh air after a long winter.

Yesterday was mothers day over here so as a treat.......... I went to the football.

All my friends were taken out for lunch or had dinner made for them....me.... i just wanted to go to the footie!! :rotfl:

If you got your wish, then it was a perfect Mother's Day! I'm glad you got to go!

She picked me! And it is just her and I going!

What a wonderful time the two of you are going to have!

I was actually getting annoyed this morning because I couldn't SLEEP with all the action going on between my 4 alarm clocks and the snooze buttons and the dreams. :headache: In one of them I was shouting "Stop scribbling on Louisiana!" and "How did you LOSE Tennessee?!?" :rotfl:

:lmao::lmao: You're killing me!
Forgot to post the ones of Timothy upside down:

Oh my, he is too cute! I hope Marisa doesn't see this though, she will be dangling Nola and I will have heart failure

The girl's party looks like so much fun! Happy birthday to your lovely ladies!

and they were yummy!!!Even my husband who doesn't like spinach liked it(I used more mushroom than spinach for him).

:thumbsup2 Sounds like the rest of the weekend was way too stressful!

I'm Back!

He said rest, fluids & in a few days I should start to feel much better.
Thank you for all your thoughts & prayers.

I'm glad he was able to give you the proper meds. Now back to bed! ;)

Can you send the trees you're removing to my place? :flower3:

I wish that I could :woohoo:. The guy is going to leave 8 foot lengths for Bud and Daniel to cut and split. We ran out of seasoned wood this year, Dan used just about all of his. We only use it in the fireplace but had to cut way back. This is the first year that we ran so low. I wanted the big oak in teh front taken down too but Buddy is attached to it so we will just get it trimmed way back. Hopefully that wil open the front yard up some, it is deep deep shade now.

Thanks y'all.:grouphug: I'm sure all you Moms know how hard it is to watch your child(no matter how old they are)lose their spirit and confidence. I am so thankful that my old boy is coming back even thought it may be slow, I'm a happy Mom.:goodvibes

It si the worst thing Kathy. I'm glad that he is on the turnaround, Momma can breathe again. :thumbsup2

I am very glad about the new DIS policy regarding politics--it was getting ridiculous.

I'm glad too. I never cared until it seemed like every discussion was hijacked. Then it was no more fun over there.

I hope that tomorrow finds you feeling better.

I love your idea of Mother's Day! Hope you had a blast :thumbsup2

I heard from Timmy yesterday on his stopover in Germany. I am feeling better about this, he seems just fine :confused3. Something is not right here, his Mom is a mess. I could not stop crying and had to give the phone to Buddy and Tim, (the one heading there) is ready to go to work. :confused3 Must be a guy thing.

I'm sure I missed a lot, the boards are still slow for me so I ended up giving up.

Scotlass- Happy Mother's Day!

:thumbsup2GPS would be priceless for trying to evacuate.

I forget that PHONES have GPS now! :rotfl: I have a Garmin Nuvi but I don't think it does traffic updates.

Tonight is grilled sirloin, rice and salad. We had a beautiful weekend and now we have cooled off big time. I am grilling and then running back in the house and drinking hot tea :rotfl:

It's in the low 30s here, going down to teens and 20s tonight. I keep thinking that at some point, it will warm up!

I'm watching Little People Big World on TLC. They are in Biloxi building Habitat for Humanity homes. I like Habitat but I haven't been able to do it in awhile.

The state comments were repeats of things I had said on Friday at work. No lie. I got mad at some kid for losing the state of Tennessee! And another one for scribbling on Louisiana. There was also an incident where Ohio got polka-dotted that I was not particularly pleased about. :rotfl:

Okay...back story...I had to do the assembly for March. We were singing the song "Fifty Nifty United States" (You can hear it if you google it) and then giving a fact for each state after we sang the song. I sketched each state outline with pencil, then had the kids color them in. Some did better than others. Somewhere between the classroom and the auditorium, right before the performance, the kid in charge of Tennessee lost the poster. Also, SIX kids were absent on Friday. Normally this would be AWESOME, but each kid had been assigned 2 (or 3) states and they had learned their facts. So I had between 12 and 18 states to re-assign at the last minute. (No joke - I had had 100% attendance the ENTIRE WEEK except Friday!)

Whatever. It's over and done. All in all, it went okay. Funny thing is that my class will sing that song SO LOUD, CONSTANTLY, in the classroom, but when they went on stage they got all quiet and shy! :lmao:

Glad you heard from Timmy. Maybe he is less nervous because he is doing what he is trained to do. Sometime it is easier to be in the middle of something than on the outside looking in, too.

I'll get back to youse.:thumbsup2

Thank you!!!! That would be great!
DH & I were talking about the cruise in June & I told him there are more nights we have to be "dressed". He states well I'll get a kilt to go with my tux jacket....Not with those chicken legs! So I thought as a surprise I would get him his Mom's tartan for a bow-tie & cumberbun.....I never thought there would be so many choices for one name.

Nancy ~ the laptop is on the bed with me.....Trying to behave.

Kathy - Great News on Kyle pitching! I'm so glad for all of you! Be sure to tell him congrats from me.

Scotlass - Happy Mother's Day.

Sheryl - Get the I phone. And then let me know how to work it. ;) Kenny and I are thinking of getting one.

Laura - Thanks for asking about my sister and her family. I think they are getting settled in California, but it is really different. Good and bad. They love the warmer weather and live very close to the girls' school. But the bad is the school district they live in has had a good many budget cuts. All kindergartens are 1/2 day and all students go 1/2 days on Tuesdays. They also cut all Art, Music and P.E. classes so there are no elective type classes. They are just in elementary school, so I don't know if that is the way for middle and/or high schools. But they are enjoying the area and have been to several of the typical L.A. touristy things, but still not DisneyLand if you can believe that.

Maria - I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't pack my camera so the only pics I may have will be the photopass ones. I hope they turned out good, because when we were at the rope drop at Epcot, Mickey hugged Hailey and Hailey didn't want to let go. Mickey then signaled to the character handler and pointed to Hailey. The handler nodded and then noticed Hailey was holding her ears because it was getting so loud out there. She took us under the rope and escorted us to the Character Connection. We got there before the rope even dropped and the characters hadn't gotten there yet.

All the characters, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald took pictures with her and spent some time with her. Someone, I don't know who because I was fighting tears, got all of the autographs on a large index card and gave them to me on our way out. One of the therapists plans to make a laminated scrapbook type page that Hailey can have so she can see herself with all of the characters.

Glynis - The birthday photos were precious! And so were those of Timothy! I love baby photos, and I especially liked the ones of him playing with his cute little feet.

Ann - I know you must be getting really excited. I hope the crowds have thinned out some before you get there. We didn't have too much of a crowd issue on Friday and Saturday mornings, but the throng started to arrive around lunch which is about when we left. However, Sunday morning in HS was just WILD! We were there at rope drop and were planning on heading right to Toy Story MM, along with about 1 million of our closest friends ;). By the time we got there, the posted wait was 40 minutes, with the line already outside the building. The line to get a fastpass was over 20 minutes and by the time we got to the fastpass machine, the return time was later than we were staying in the park. Heck by 11 am the return time was 5:30 p.m. So the moral to the story is if you are planning to ride that one, have your DH run ahead of you (the stroller will slow you down) and grab the fastpasses.

Nancy - I saw your post and will be praying for Timmy.

Welcome to all new posters! Stay and chat. We might get around to posting dinner.

Isn't that always the way?

We were singing the song "Fifty Nifty United States"

I learned that song in school when I was a little kid! Both of the classes in my grade went all over the city performing a United States program at all of the other elementary schools. One rehearsal, my friend and I did a little "cha-cha-cha" after Connecticut. The teacher leading the music liked it enough that he had everyone do it. It's been 30+ years, and I still know that song like the back of my hand. Now we just need states starting with the letters B, E, J, Q, X, Y, and Z. I say we grant statehood to Puerto Rico and rename it Bueno Rico. But then the song would have to be rewritten....

I wanted to let y'all know that our prayers were answered, Kyle actually got to close yesterday's game and did VERY well. It's been a long, long time since I've seen him walk off the mound with a huge smile. His confidence is creeping back up.:goodvibes
:cool1: I am so happy for Kyle, and you and Johnny.

Our Twilight Party was a blast!

Your party looked so fun. Angelina did a great job with the theming.

We were laughing so hard I wish someone was recording us cause I think we would have won money
 I am glad you were able to laugh about it.

I feel relieved that I'm on the right course & hope this is the end of it.

That is good news!

Can I just tell y'all that I am :cheer2::cheer2: about the new no politics policy?

That was the first thing Becky emailed me about this morning. :thumbsup2

She picked me! And it is just her and I going!

That is so sweet!

You want me to tell my husband that I don't need an IPhone?!!!

No, Sheryl, you NEED an iPhone!! ;) Maybe I need one too...

I heard from Timmy yesterday on his stopover in Germany. I am feeling better about this, he seems just fine :confused3.

Greg always sounds that way too, Nancy. They are well-trained and prepared. They know their mission (which they usually can't tell us) and they fully expect to meet their goals. I figure I can't spend all my time worrying if Greg is not worried.

Speaking of Greg, he was recycled at Ranger School again. He passed the push-ups and all the physical tests fine, but he failed a different part of the training. When I talked to him Friday, he sounded kind of relieved. He actually was going to get a decent night's sleep. The night before he was only allowed to sleep between 3:30-4:30 am. He just called...must have felt his ears burning. His class starts up again Thursday. Wish him luck!

Glynis -- I loved the party pictures and the pictures of Timothy. You have got to love little baby feet. I missed it this weekend, but I wish the twins Happy Birthday!!

LOL :rotfl:

I see you are from Mississippi...I think I mentioned this before, but my class has this fascination with all things Mississippi. :confused3 When they get to Mississippi in the song, they will SCREAM it, louder than all the others. One time they did this, one kid started crying because he said it hurt his ears! He was whining "WHYYYYYYYYYY do they loveeeeeee Mississippiiiiiiiiiiii?" :rotfl2:

That is so great. I am getting teary just thinking about it, so I know it must have been so special for you and Hailey.

I am sure it is a huge adjustment for your sister and her family, and I am glad they are getting to see some of the sights. I never understand why schools cut gym/PE. Doctors/parents complain that kids don't get enough exercise but then the schools cut gym and recess. :confused3

What a wonderful memory...That's what makes people have such love for Disney:lovestruc Hailey must have been on cloud 9....

** Laura hope Greg gets some rest. He's in my thoughts & prayers.

:rotfl2:

Because Mississippi is such a weird sounding name. And every kid learns at a very young age how obnoxious repetition is. So if you're required to say something that repetitious, MAKE THE MOST OF IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have y'all seen "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas?" http://www.boyinthestripedpajamas.com/#/home We watch a LOT of movies but this is one that I think every adult should see. Riveting, unique angle on the Holocaust, and gut wrenching. I think my heart stood still for a good 2 minutes. Got it at Redbox for a buck - go rent it if you haven't seen it yet!

I'm making Chinese spaghetti and meatballs for dinner tonight. Hopefully I will be able to eat them :(
