Ellen -- Congratulations to Matthew! Bragging is always acceptable here. You deserve to be very proud.

Sheryl -- Thank you so much for the scallop recipe. I am definitely making that soon. I'm glad Alexis has such a great teacher and she is beginning to get to know the other girls in class.

I think Liam kicked whatever bug he had. Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes.

We're having homemade pizza tonight. It is very cool here today, so I don't mind turning on the oven.

I have to have a Brag moment if you all will let me. Matthew was voted Vice President of his Faternity yesterday. We are so proud of him!! He is pretty stoked about it. It is so good to see him happy and getting along so well. No matter how much I miss him, it does my heart good to know he is happy. And this comes from the kid who was worried about going to college.
I couldn't be happier!! Way to go son!!

Way to go Matthew Mom has every right to brag.

I just got some horrible news. Jonny's sister's husband who has been ill for a very long time passed away a short time ago. He was just released from the hospital a few days ago and seemed to be doing fairly well. SIL found him and called Johnny. Prayers for Shelly please.

Just quick check in & to give you a brief update & what's been going on.
Besides Lily who is not doing as well as she was the start of the week, my DMs work issues & Leona who is doing much better & thank you all for your thoughts & prayers something else happened~

Greg & I have been "involved" with an adoption scandal. We had been in contact with a Christian based private adoption agency many months ago & to make a long story short it was all a scam & we had to cancel all our credit cards, put all the credit rating companies on alert & report it to the FBI because it is over state lines as well as international.
It's been a painful emotional roller coaster but we will get through.

Again I apologize for not reading back but please know your all in my thoughts & prayers.

I have to put a smile on tonight because we're throwing a small dinner party......distraction can be a good thing

I can't imagine anyone being able to sleep at night when they are preying on people like that. Scum of the earth.

Today is DH's birthday. Those of you on FB saw our ordeal this morning - three of the dogs dug out of the yard and escaped. It was the longest hour of my life as we searched for them. We eventually found Ace, standing at the door of a house down the street asking to be let in. He looked normal and was just a little wet from the damp yards.

A neighbor walking his dog helped us look some, too. We back up to a heavily wooded area that is too deep for us to wander through so we just had to call for them and hope they'd come.

25 more minutes went by, I was about to lose it, when driving back into our neighborhood I spotted a dog race across the street. It was Lucy and Winston - still together. They are both covered in burrs, with Lucy being caked and Winston just having them on his belly and legs (he's taller). They were both wet and sad looking.

We can't get the burrs out of Lucy's hair. Winston has a slick coat and they pull out easily but her hair is coarse Schnauzer hair and it holds onto it. I'm not sure what to do It's in her eyes, nose, everywhere. Dh thinks we should shave her

He wanted to go out for breakfast but by the time we gave baths, showered again ourselves, and such it was lunchtime. Poor guy!

I think he wants Logan's for dinner - I could go for a steak

Thanks to my WFD FB friends who sent out good thoughts and prayers this morning. I posted a frantic message while DH was getting his sneakers tied.

Aimee Sorry you had such a scare. My dogs get out every now and again. They have a usual spot they go to.

Maria There is a special place in hell for those people. They are just like the people who dug up and resold cementary plot. That story has been in the news here. I'm am soo very sorry this has happened to you both Please call me if you want to talk or cry I am very good at both.

Kathy I am sorry for your lose. I will pray for your SIL

Well, carpool worked out much better this morning. Both boys jumped in the car all smiles, and everyone arrived home in one piece. So nice not having to make that drive twice a day! I'm not sure what the troops had for dinner last night. All I know is there wasn't anything for me when I got home from work (another major ) so I ran through the drive through at Wendy's around 10:15pm. My food at work just sat there mocking me, as I had not a spare moment to eat. Tonight we are supposed to be going out to our fave pizza joint for Friday night pizza. DH was also supposed to be only working a half day today and it's 6:15 and he's still at work. We'll see. Lots of angry smilies in this post--I think I need happy hour. On a happy note, I went shopping yesterday and bought a cute dress to take to F&W. It's the little things.

Okay, I've had a glass of wine and I'm sure this post is coming out all crazy, so I should go. Have a great Friday night all!

Still at work, waiting for my sister to call. I am going to meet her and get my DN's again this weekend since we aren't going to the beach. Dinner will probably be somewhere on the road again.

Wow, it does seem like forever ago. And sadly many people are still not in their homes, are they?


I believe Miss Lucy will be taking a trip to the groomer for a shave on Monday morning. I snipped and pulled for another hour last night and it's just overwhelming and her patience is worn out. I can't even touch the area around her face without getting a growl - I like my hand, thankyouverymuch, so I won't be doing that again!

I am at work, I have a SS class painting their classroom again this morning so I have to stay up here until they finish. I'm not sure what I'm making - I can't remember what is on the list!
