Thank you to everyone for your kindness and understanding. I sincerely appreciate it. I'm trying to be normal, but it takes more effort than I thought it would.

Anyway, today my mother is coming over and we are ordering her Disney tickets and our Halloween party tickets. Amanda is really excited about the trick or treating in the Magic Kingdom.

Kenny got sick yesterday and is still feeling poorly. As I posted on fb, it is going to be a long day.

So, I had a fun morning of going to the walk-in clinic. I've been battling this cold for days now and last night at work my eye started throbbing and getting all goopy. Well, this morning I awoke to find my eye matted shut. Nice. So, I went to the clinic thinking I had pink eye. Turns out it's a massive sinus infection that's seeping out through my tear duct. Gross! Anyway, I'm now on some antibiotics and hopefully on the road to recovery. I just hope I'm getting it all out before travelling to WDW in a couple weeks.

Laura--so glad that Caili is okay! On the way home from school yesterday, the mom driving carpool got into an accident (minor rear ender) on the Arkansas river bridge with all the kids in the car. My heart stopped for a brief moment when she called me, but everyone is safe. The kids didn't even know what happened, and thought the police coming was pretty cool. Luckily, a friend of the mom's was behind her in traffic a few minutes, so she picked up the kids and brought them home. Someone is definitely watching over our children!

Quiet day here today,I went holiday clothes shopping , but as I pretty much take a empty case and fill it up in the Florida malls it didnt take long.

Only 2 more weeks till new undercrackers !!

I just got off the phone with Chris, she is going to call the allergist office & ask particulars on the testing. She knew nothing about blood testing for allergies. In fact she was thinking about how to get a referral to a gastro doc. The school called her again this morning because Alexis was crying over stomach pain. She spoke to her surgeon who said to give it a little more time, if it didn't improve in a few weeks take her back to the ped. for a referral to a gastro. (The pedi. had to do the referrals)

But after her & I talking about it we are now thinking that maybe the stomach pains could be food allergies. We both think she has issues with dairy, while niether of us are giving her milk to drink, we haven't cut out her noodles with cheese or the occasional ice-cream.

Poor kid. She needs a break from all this unpleasantness! Have y'all tried to do an elimination diet?

I was too stressed out after skating. Caili had a very scary collision with another much bigger girl. Both of them are fine...Caili has a small cut on her leg...but it could have been so much worse. Someone was watching over Caili tonight.

Ice skating (as many other sports) can be a dangerous sport to participate in. I'm so glad she's okay.

Sheryl - my DIL is lactose intolerant and has some nasty stomach issues from dairy. She takes lactaid which is an over the counter med right before she eats any dairy product and it works well for her. I hope that maybe it will be that simple for Alexis.

Interesting. I have issues with milk products on and off - right now I can't tolerate them - and I wonder if something like lactaid would work for me.

I've never heard of that - gross! I hope you are on the mend soon.

Back from Florida. It was exhausting & stressful to say the least.

Oh, I'm sorry your trip didn't go well. Any particular reason why? (that you want to share, of course). I'm glad you're back safe.



My retreat went well, I am just exhausted from prepping/leading/cleaning all those sessions plus getting 3-4 hours of sleep total. I typically come home and crash but I have family in town that I'm supposed to meet for dinner. Buttttttttttttttttt.... I'm sitting on the computer =)

They are supposed to be deciding where we'll eat. I was trying to steer them to something local and unique and they were leaning towards typical chain fare. Bummer.

Tonight is marinated flank steak mashed potatoes, and some kind of veggie. I am making fig streusel bars for dessert.

Believe it or not I am still doing laundry. I started it this morning. We did leave the house for a couple of hours to do errands and get the oil changed on my car.

I ended up taking a nap today and skipping the museums. I had a sinus headache/migraine but a 3 hour nap REALLY helped!

My next activity involves backing up photos to the external drive.

We went to Hoffbrau Steakhouse - is that a chain near any of y'all? The food was okay, but the service was terrible! Oh well. Gave us more time to visit.

Today I just have to feed Alex. I am going out with my friend for dinner. Her Alex will hang with her husband and kids. We go take out each other on our birthdays. I found a winery that has a restaurant that we are going to. Wine and food who knew.

I need to get out of this funk and get stuff today. I basically wasted yesterday. The only thing I did was 2 loads of wash and cleaned the kitchen.

My friends band has their first single and Album launch tonight and Im so excited for him.

He is ridiculously cool and gorgeous but is also the warmest, most caring,lovin young man I know.

All I can say, is if my boy turns out to be half the young man he is i will be so very happy.
