Dates: Friday 22nd January - Monday 25th January 2010.
Excited people on the trip: Ruth (me - very, very excited), hubby Steve (excited but contained himself!!), son Ben (10), (very, very excited but being very 'cool' about it all) and daughter Hollie (6), (very, very excited and not afraid to show it)
Hotel: Santa Fe
Travelled by: Eurostar
Our journey began straight from school Thursday 21st with an easy journey down to Ashford. Staying overnight at the Holiday Inn Ashford Central with the Eurostar package: http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/hi/1/en/hotel/ASDKE?&stopredirect=true. Hotel was very nice, food great but the room was very cold but the staff were good and we had a portable heater and extra blankets as time was getting late and they couldn't fix the problem. Their package includes parking at the hotel for the duration of your trip and taxis both way which provided excellent service.
Friday morning up early, had nice breakfast then off to the train station, all went smoothly and we were on the way:
After a good journey we arrived on time at Disney, and as we wanted to get changed and kitted up headed off to the Santa Fe, and we were walking into our room only 40 mins after arrival at the station!. Room was warm, clean and inviting so after a quick change we headed off to the parks. Decided to walk as weather so nice, although with all our gear we were more rustling
.
Headed to Disneyland park and walking through that walkway and seeing Main Street and the castle never, ever ceases to take my breath away. Decided to go and try to get on Buzz, got there to find it shut which was disappointing (and as far as we were aware was closed for the rest of the evening.) Instead we went on Small World - love it and my favourite. After that we had a wonder round just to take in the atmosphere, few more rides and then watched the It's Party Time with Mickey show (very impressed with Goofys break dancing lol) before heading to Bella Notte for something to eat, here's what the children both had:
Then off back to the hotel for the night.
