Hi all,

I'm not a regular poster but I read daily!! Hope you don't mind me posting my PTR? I'm probably going to have loads of questions so I would really be thankful if someone could answer them :)

You may remember a few weeks ago I posted that my DH had been made redundant an I wasn't sure whether we were going to cancel our magical trip or not. Well thats the reason for the trip title - things are on the up now :thumbsup2 and "we're going no matter what!"

Cast:

Me - Love Mickey (hence the username lol) but I also love ALL the Disney movies, can watch them over and over! Will be celebrating my Birthday whilst we're there! My 4th time to DLP.

DH - Loves The Jungle Book and Peter Pan, not as much of a Disney-Nut as me! His 2nd time to DLP.

DS - Mad on Toy Story, Peter Pan, Cars and Monsters Inc. Although he also loves the Princesses, TinkerBell etc. Usually we sit and watch Disney Cinemagic all day on a Sunday :3dglasses His FIRST time to DLP - I can't wait to see his face!!!! :lovestruc

Plan:

We're going on the Eurostar from Ashford on 9th March and returning on the 11th, staying at Santa Fe. :goodvibes We're planning on staying in Ashford the night before too. As soon as we arrive we'll be dumping out bags at the Express desk and running for the park :woohoo:

We're planning on eating at Cafe Mickey on the 9th, Annettes on the 10th and Pizza Planet on the 11th for Lunch. Other Lunches will be baguettes from the station shop (any idea how much these are?)

Rides:

Any I can get DS on!!! He is usually pretty adventurous usually!

Other bits:

I'm hoping to sample some of the cocktails whilst we're there - is there a bar at the Santa Fe? Would my DS be allowed in there?

What type of clothes should I pack? I'm hoping so, so much it won't snow!

Will it be safe to leave our passports etc back at the hotel room within our luggage?

Sorry for all the questions!!!

I bought my DS a Cars backpack from the Disney Store sale last year and I'm planning on filling it with goodies for the journey. He is also taking his Buzz, Woody and Captain Hook costumes, he'll probably want to take his other costumes too lol.

Think I'd better leave it there for now, hope it isn't too long :rolleyes1

ahh bless, i'm so happy for you that you can go on your magical trip. Have a wonderful timeprincess::wizard:

Ahh thanks - we're really happy we decided to keep our booking.

Few things I have done:

Insurance bought
EHIC cards received
Booked half board - easier for me to budget
Changed half of our money into Euros

Need to do:

Decide if we are we going to Ashford by car or train!
Change the remaining £ into Euros
Book restaurants
Start packing :rotfl: (need to buy things to pack first!!!)

Delighted for you - sounds like you are organised! Its lovely to have such a special trip to look forward to. Enjoy!

Only 2 weeks now :cool1:

I can't believe how quickly it is coming around, although its half term here this week and it seems to be dragging!! It's only Tuesday :scared1:

I have booked us into the Premier Inn at Ashford for the 8th and we have decided to get the train there instead of parking. It worked out around the same cost in the end (what with petrol prices rocketing! :sad2: )

I'm hoping they are still showing Tangled at Ashford cinema, if so we will book to go the night before - I thought this would be a fab way to get in the mood :lovestruc We'll also have a meal at either Frankie and Bennys or the Beefeater.

Meal plans have changed slightly:

Day 1: (My birthday!!! :woohoo: )

Breakfast - McDonalds before we get Eurostar
Lunch - Grab hotdogs from the park or baguettes from train station!
Dinner - Annettes

Day 2:

Breakfast - Hotel or in the park
Lunch - Blockbuster Cafe
Dinner - Plaza Gardens

Day 3:

Breakfast - Hotel or in the park
Lunch - Cafe Mickey
Dinner - Grab something for the Eurostar home

We're really lucky that the park is open until 8pm whilst we're there, studios are open until 6pm. :wizard: All we need now is for the weather to be kind to us - no rain or snow please!! :littleangel:

All I need to do now is pack - will start that next week once DS is back in school. :rolleyes1

I'm soooooooo excited :rotfl2:
