the weekend grind 9/8 - 9/9

good morning ladies!

hope everyone has lots of fun planned for the weekend!

P & PD to anyone in need

our plans:

Megan's BFF is spending the day with us today - her mom has to work all day.

we are helping my mom's friend who is 82 with packing up things from her sisters home (she passed a couple months ago) Bev is going to let us have whatever we like to then donate to Megan's choir class yard sale we are having at the end of the month!

need to do laundry and clean house at some point
work on partner swap banners
maybe get some scrapbooking in too

Good morning - Thankfully it is the week-end
got laundry going
working on Green Army Men - got them cut out but need to get them off the mat & get all of the little bits out of them - seems to sticking together, I'm thinking it is the mat's fault so cleaning mats is next on my list
I should be aruond today DH is off tomorrow so no idea what we will do then

Love the weekends- the only way I survive the work week sometimes!! Hope everyone has a great one!

Organizing clothes to see what we have for fall
Soccer Game-DD1
Stop at Hobby Lobby for home decor and scrap goodies probably
Tonight- Relax and enjoy a firepit night with family

Sleep in a little I hope
Clean a little
Birthday party tomorrow afternoon
Get ready for the school/work week and relax (maybe scrap if time or in the mood?)

Trying to relax as much as possible this weekend. Next weekend we are having a yard sale, then the next four weekends we have soccer and softball tournaments.

Drop DS16 off to soccer game
home and get ready
lunch
take DS11 to his soccer game Tied 3-3
rush to HS to see the last bit of the postponed HS football game from last night (DS16 is going to the HS after the soccer game to tailgate w/ friends)
talk w/ DS16 status on the rest of the day - he is supposed to work a community event at the HS from 4-8pm Won big time; DH just took DS16 back to school we took him home to eat with us.
meet up with DS16 to watch the fireworks tonight (rescheduled from July 4th).
scrapbook a few more pages


tomorrow:
up and wash load of towels had a few minutes to take care of this on Saturday
once over house
scrap a few pages
DS11 to soccer game
home to scrap some more
list of chores for all 3 boys to do - earning me some extra quiet time
enjoy movie night with the boys

I'm being a slug today. even considering a nap if the hound dog even quits barking~

Otherwise it's scrapping if I feel like being upright or reading a book in my comfy bed.

Should probably give the boys a prep list for battening down stuff, we are in serve thunderstorm area for this pm and evening.

we are now under a tornado watch until 10 pm!! so battening down hatches got moved up by 4 hours. I think the bulk of it is done but now to wound up to nap or scrap. I HATE these things I live in VT for a reason we aren't supposed to get them!!!!!!!!! I'll take a blizzard to this anyday. Those I know how to prep for

Happy Weekend!

DH and I went out to breakfast, stopped by Total Wine for a few bottles and then to the grocery. DH is now parked on the couch watching college football while I'm in my scrapbook room/office. I'll go and join him around 3:30 when BAMA hits the field .

I think I agree with Christy and shall declare the rest of the weekend
"Slugfest 2012"....

I've been up for a while, just slow going.

Got my folder project done for the kitchen wall, now all the kids have a folder to put important school stuff so its all in one spot. now to train them to use it.

Going to start scrapping here in just a few mins.

DBF is going out tonight, I think I will stay home.

Tomorrow pick up DD's and take DD#2 to Cheer pictures. Hopefully the coach will get the email out about buying their bows, the ones she handed out last night are awful!

Stay safe Christy and Buffy... Buffy texted and said they are under the tornado warning too... she was taken everything in when we spoke..

It got a little bumpy here last night but nothing we hadn't been through before.. had a bit of limbs down and a flower pot over turned...but no major damage..

We are watching Notre Dame play now... need to go pull the IU schedule next...

Ooof, I'm exhausted! We did the corn maze. First time for us. Not sure if we'd go again. We had fun, but it was somewhat claustrophobic, and they didn't give any clues or a map of any sort, so it was a lot of wandering around confused

DH has gone to visit his parents, we're having leftover lasagna for dinner when he gets home. We did all our errands today, I have no intention of leaving the house tomorrow. Gotta get in on Slugfest 2012

My new Kuerig has arrived. I've got it set up and put it through a test run. We'll really try it out tomorrow, it's far too late for any caffeine!

Christy and Buffy stay safe!

Jennifer, corn mazes can be confusing! We are trying a smaller one this year!

We are under severe thunderstorm watch in eastern MA. Skies are getting dark but no thunder or lightening yet. Should probably make dinner before it starts.

I have been working on the partner swap all day, guess I got engrossed in what I was doing and wasn't paying attention to anything.

This has been a crazy weekend so far:
Friday I had my last day of full time work (yeah for more time boo for less money coming in) then we headed up to Orlando to pick up my brother and his family and head over to a rehearsal dinner for a cousin.
Saturday- hung out at DTD with brother and family and then headed over to the wedding- got home at about 11:30pm last night
Today: DH is preaching at a church in town and we have to leave at 7:30 to get to the 2 services and then we come home pick up the dogs, and have to be at the church by 2pm for a wedding DH is performing and I am photographing at 3pm after that we will be collapsing

I have to start editing the book I am writing tomorrow- one of the big things that we have to change is adding in quotes from girls that are 8-12 years old. If anyone has a daughter willing to answer a few questions in exchange for a free copy of the book- let me know and I will put you on the list to contact once we have our questions chosen out.

morning all

powers back on! we all went to bed early after playing a few games by coleman lantern! While I don't mind short outages I hate digging out the generator and hooking up the house to it.

It got bad for abt 1 hour then just rain, which we despartely need. I took a few pics of the sky and rain moving in, then I had to build a tarp shelter for Tyke and his mommy. I thought tom had moved the fence so they could get in the barn but he hadn't. So I was a total drowned rat and no power to clean up with.

I hope to continue with slugfest but with Tom home I have a feeling it will be interupted multiple times.

picking her up at 9, heading to my mom's then her friends to help out, not sure when we will be home.

DBF went out to Seattle, so when I finished my pages, DD#1 and I watched Breaking Dawn part 1...finally. Then I unpacked a few boxes and got stuff put away. Even a box that had been packed since 2009
