Agreeing...we won't be back in late April either. There were 2 states on Spring Break...New Jersey and New York(I spoke with some teachers while doing laundry) and there were some Grad Nights during our stay as well. Just a bit too crowded for us.
I visited in 2001, when Easter fell on April 15. So, I was there during part of the spring break week after Easter (3rd week) and the following week (last week of April).
The week after Easter was SO crowded! That Saturday was less crowded, Sunday less so, and then from Monday on, the crowds were really low. It was a great time to go.
This is only an approximation, but 90% of the state of New Jersey was at WDW that week in April 2004 . I can only compare the crowds to the week before Memorial Day weekend, but that week was less crowded than when we went in April. Crowds were managable, though, as we used morning EMH and fastpasses and took our afternoon breaks back at the pool. And, as a note, whoever we chatted with or came upon (and they were ALL from NJ ) were great people and added to our wonderful trip. (Weather was nice, too!!)
spring break for us (upstate ny) this year is the 2nd week of april. so i planned our trip accordingly for the last day of april. thought i was ok until i heard grad night is the last night of our trip!
We were there the last week of April two years ago and I didn't think it was too crowded. What we noticed was some schools having field trips then (saw them at Epcot mainly) and also grad night was on the weekend. But the crowds weren't so bad. The weather started out very warm, in the 80's, and by the time we left was up to 90 and very humid.
