The weather is just wrong

I need 2 to 3 days of sub 35 degree weather to kill mosquitoes and flees. Then it can go back to 75 degrees:thumbsup2

I just wish for DS's case...it wasn't raining. It is such a nice day, except for the rain...I wish he could play on his new bike or swing set!!

I just find it frustrating with what to wear, too warm for sweaters or it's too cool for a long sleeve T (okay, maybe it's just me and menopause:crazy: )

This is too weird!! I just sent the kids off on an outing with DH. They're wearing shorts and t-shirts. I like short winters, but this is ridiculous! I just know it's going to suddenly cool down and the changes just kill me.

The sun just came out here!!! Hopefully it will stay that way and dry out a little bit!!:cool1: :cool1:

Just to make you all fell better, it is currrently 6 degrees with the wind chill taking it down to -9 here in the Denver area. I still have about 3 feet of snow in my front yard. The back yard contains drifts fo 4' to 6' high.

While I can agree it's nice to have warm weather...no coats, low heating cost, etc. This is NOT good for us. Without the colder weather, our bug population this summer will be horrid. Including fleas. We have box elder bugs that usually go away when it's cold...they are still everywhere. Until you live with these bugs...you just don't know. The mice population has jumped, warm weather. The grass is getting green and we've had sprouts. Can you imagine if it freezes again now? Not to mention how our ski resorts (yep, even in Iowa) and snow removal companies are going to suffer.

I'll give up my low heating cost for one month of solid winter weather.

Need snow lots of it so I can say it's time to move to Florida.

I definitely have spring fever today. Asked the kids if they want to take a ride to the Jersey shore! I know its January, but I cant wait for beach season.

My rose bushes have new growth on them!

Here too! Maybe we can send some snow towards the east. I am over it here. But on the bright side the sun is shining!!!!!!:sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Tell me about it ... we bought season ski passes for the 3 of us. Plus racing lessons, new skis, boots and bindings for the boy this year (racing skis and boots = $$$$$) and they're all going unused! Not to mention the locker we rented at the resort. Rumor has it they might not open at all. That means I lose all the $$ I spent on tickets! (Insert vomiting smilie here) Hopefully, the skis and boots will fit the boy next year. Otherwise, more $$ down the drain. V. depressing.

We did get to ski 2x this year ... so when I break down the cost of the season passes, we each spent $130 each day to ski. Sick when a daily lift ticket is $40! I guess that's the risk you take when you purchase a season pass. However, I can't recall a ski season that was quite this bad!!!!

Well there is no global warming in Utah either. Though we haven't been pounded like Colorado we had their last storm a few days ago and about 8 inches of snow still on the ground. Right now it is 22 with a wind chill of 10 so can I send it somewhere else? This is our 2nd big storm of the year and while the ski resorts and mountains need it I absolutely hate it! I'd love it to be in the 50-60 range here instead of the 22/10 at almost 11am.

This weather is ridiculous. My roses never lost their leaves, and my bulbs are all up. My kids are having serious allergy issues, we're going to have a heckuva bug year this spring/summer...which will be the 4th year in a row, which means a significant number of trees are going to die from constant stress and defoliation. This is bad. The ski areas are having a really tough time of it, so the winter economy is suffering, too. Yeah, we need some cold here, and soon. Besides, I have a new poofy winter coat I want to wear!

I live in vermont and should be burried in snow by now. I can SEE the ground, it's not normal! It's 60 out!! I am NOT complaining though, I HATE the cold. Normally this time of year where I am if it gets 20 above zero, we are lucky.

It is 70 degrees right now with the sun shining in Boston on January 6 This is too weird! Not that I'm complaining.

I just checked the weather here in NJ, its 72 degrees, yes I said 72, I did not transpose those numbers. The normal for January is 36. CRazy crazy crazy but I love this weather.

I love this weather....I can take it all year long....my only problem is that it still has to snow at some point right? I'd rather have it now as opposed to March or something so that we can get it over with. I'm sorry, but snow and ice just seem downright miserable sometimes.
