The "We have one whole year to wait" Now a Trip Report

Followed you over here from the DISign board just read your whole PTR. I love the debt free thing. I'm a Dave Ramsey fan and we too are striving to become debt free. Although, we aren't totally debt free yet, we have come a long way and our trip will be paid for in cash. I always think of the borrower is slave to the lender when I think I NEED something. I love to hear other people's success stories. I love your journal pages as well and I think I'm going to make one for my son. You have lucky little ones to get such a great trip and to grow up in a debt free, God filled home.:goodvibes

Finally looked up Dave ramsey - looks like his program is similar to Howard Dayton and Crown Financial's radio show Money Matters. Had no idea other radio programs existed!

This day remains the same as before

1.) Breakfast -Chef Mickey's 7am
2.) Nathaniel's Choice - It's Nathaniel's choice of what we do today - he IS the birthday boy after all!
3.) Swim Nap Shower - After lunch, we'll head home for our afternoon break!
4.) Dinner - Trail's End at 5:35
5.) Campfire Sing-a-long -starts at 7, right after dinner
6.) NAthaniel's Choice - Alone time, family time, park time, resort time, or the night movie - it's Nathaniel's choice!

1.) Resort Time - This morning and afternoon we have NOTHING PLANNED! It's our time to RELAX! We'll enjoy sleeping late, swimming in the pool, bike riding, playing on the playground and beach, arts and craft time in the lodge, and going over to Ft. Wilderness for some horseback riding and fishing!
2.)MGM - We'll plan to be here around 5 or so. The only thing on our agenda tonight is to play in Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground, see the Beauty and the Beast show, and see Fantasmic. Perfect relaxing evening to end our relaxing day!

We'll be eating counter service today as we get hungry. This will help us keep our flexibility for the day.

This day also remains the same:

1.) BBB -8am, so we get in there BEFORE Ropedrop AND we get the coveted picture alone at the castle!!
2.) MK - we're here already, so this is where we'll stay!
3.) Lunch - Cinderella is awaiting the birthday girl! Our ressie is for 2:15.
4.) nap shower and swim -The normal goals for afternoon break!
5.) Ainsley's choice - I'm letting her decide what we do because she's our birthday girl!
6.) Dinner - We have ressie's at GFC, but I'm not sure we are going to keep them. They are for 7pm. I'll see.

1.) Sleep in - Another lazy day today! We do have somewhere to be, it's just not at the crack of dawn!:woohoo:
2.) Grand Floridian Photo Shoot -I'm hoping to get a 10 am sitting. I can't call until 30 days out.
3.) Breakfast - 11am at the GF Cafe. We're having breakfast AFTER the photo shoot for obvious reasons!
4.) Resort Time - some more time to rest and relax and enjoy our resort!
5.) DTD - We'll take in some shopping time and enjoy a bite to eat at Earl of Sandwhich

We'll spend the entire day at MK today - but with a break in between.
1.) Breakfast -Kona Cafe at 8:10 we might try to show up early for this reservation so we can be sure to make it to park opening.
2.) Magic Kingdom -We'll be here until just after lunch
3.) Swim Sleep Shower -you know
4.) Dinner - Crystal Palace at 4:00 - I'm trying to get this changed to somewhere in the 5 - 6 neighborhood....no luck yet.

1.) Checkout -sniff sniff, I just can't believe it will be over.....maybe I'll be able to talk my hubby into the bounceback offer......
2.) Breakfast - Whispering Canyon CAfe at 9:30
3.) Mouse Ears -Since we spent all day yesterday at MK, we'll probally hit Epcot, HS, or AK.
4.) Go home - Our flight leaves at 6:50, which means we need to be on the ME bus at 3:50 - right? Still, that's a great morning/afternoon in the parks!

So someone pointed that I was parkhopping only once in my plans - and as they put it "that's one expensive parade". Soo I rearranged my schedule so that I had no park hopping - pretty easy to do. $200 saved right there! And then I came across someone who said "The age you are when you arrive in Disney is the age you stay in Disney." Wait....what was that? So if my daughter is 2 when we arrive - she stays two THE ENTIRE TRIP?!!?? And since you don't need to buy a ticket for a 2 year old, did I just buy a ticket I never needed in the first place?? The answer was ::yes:: . So I called Disney and Otis was oh so nice and he helped get my money back! Total saving with the park hoppers canceled and giving back the ticket I never really needed? $391.99!! Woo hoo!:yay: And after seeing this: Cirque: La Nouba we decided we MUST see this show! So we are figuring out how to fit it in. And now we have the money avalible!

It's so exciting! The kids still don't know?
We will be there during the same time ya'll are, but we are doing 8 days instead of 10 and we'll be at a value instead of a deluxe. It's just me and the kiddos this time. We all went in May and DH says he just doesn't care about going back anytime soon. He has fun and all, it just isn't a very relaxing vacation for him.
Well the dates are getting nearer! I know you guys will have a great time! Enjoy the countdown over the next hundred days or so. The only bad thing about a big trip to Disney is that when it's over, you don't quite know what to do... It's kind of like planning your wedding. When it's over you feel sort of lost. You've been building up to this "big thing" for so long and then all of a sudden it's over. The only thing to do is start planning and saving for another trip!

Nope! MY kids are still clueless! They will talk about going, but they always say "I can't wait until I save enough money so I can go on Mission Space" or my daughter "Save my money? Go on LaLa's horse? You, me, la(Ephraim), Nono(Nathaniel) and Papa???" And then we respond Yes, when you save your money!!:rotfl2: But yeah, I'm going to be LOST without planning a vacation! I'll just have to convince my hubby that maybe every other year would be doable???:lovestruc

Hi! I've enjoyed reading your pre-trip so far. We're planning a trip for
June '09, so now MY year of waiting begins. Your family is just beautiful! Although I'm glad my years of baby bearing is over, I still really miss that super squishy and soft baby skin. Your ADRs, daily plans, etc. look really good. Can't wait to see how everything works out!

Almost forgot, my in-laws have a time share on Sanibel Island. It's in a complex called Casa y bel and we join them every other Christmas. It's so beautiful there! We've never eaten at Sanibel Steak House, but we love The Timbers and McT's. Yummy.

Hey! You're right down the road from us! We're at Sanibel Cottages! And Ken's grandparents own timeshare at Casa y bel in February. Mmmmm McT's! Love there mud pie and that seafood bisque in the bread bowl.

Funny story about The Timbers. We went there for the first time last year (it's the seafood place right down the road from the post office, right?) Anyway, my son had to go to the bathroom, so I took him. He finsihed before me and is out in the area by the sinks and is looking at the lobster poster and reading the names aloud. Suddenly I hear him say "ph makes a F sound...so p-h-u-c-k spells ....Mama, what's a phu....." andI immediatly am yelling from the stall "What are you reading??!!!??? Stop right now! close your eyes and do not look at that word!!" as I'm scrambling to finish up and run at the stall. :furious: Why do hoodlums write stuff like that on the wall?? I'm thinking. Run out of the stall and I'm looking for grafitti on the wall and don't see any thing...so I ask "With your eyes closed, can you please tell me what you were reading?" He tells me he was reading the poster with all the lobsters on it. So I look, and I don't see any grafitti on that either, and then it catches me eye. One of the bigger lobsters on the poster is ACTUALLY named that! So then I back track so that his poor little mind isn't totally corrupted and say something like "oh nevermind, I thought you were spelling a different word. A naughty word. That's just the lobsters name. But it reminds me of a naughty word, so please don't learn to spell it." And then of course, being the mature 26 year old that I am, I ran back and told everyone to go and have a look at the ladies room poster! I just wanted to know who was in charge of naming that lobster, and how is it ACTUALLY pronounced. Is it Peehuck or is the p silent so it's just huck? And who approved that name???

That story is just too much!:rotfl2: Yes always eat at the Timbers once and buy fish from their market to grill once. AND we always get the mud pie from McTs, but to go because its so ginormous and we're always too full after dinner.

/yes, those mud pies are HUGE! We also love pinochio's - I love their sand dollar crunch ice cream in those homemade waffle cones dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. And Cheeseburger Cheeseburger is always a family tradition! The shakes they have are to die for! I love the chocolate mint! Man I'm missing Sanibel now! We would have just been getting back if we weren't skipping this year for Disney!

Hey Laura,

Havn't been around too much lately, so I thought I'd catch up. I was reading your itinerary and I noticed that I have a 2:10 ressie for the castle on the same day that you will be there celebrating your daughters birthday. Too funny.

No way? You're there the 22nd at 2:10 also? Since we're both there, maybe we should meet up to get a picture for our trip reports! How funny that we're both there on teh same day at the same time! Great minds think alike!

I know isn't that too funny. I am sure I will be able to find you easily with your decked out little princess birthday girl. Or is she going for the Hannah Montana look?

I have a sneaking suspision(sp?) that there will be many princess there! And I'm sure my princess will be dressed up like her favorite princess "lala" (AKA Cinderella). We don't watch TV (other than a few preapproved DVD's by good ol' Mama! We shut the cable down a few years ago. Best decision we ever made!), so she has no clue who Hannah Montana is thankfully.
