The "we got there eventually - without bubble wrap" Trip Report day 7

Jordan 16- Not allowed to play football whenever we are off to Florida

Friday 29th August

Today we are going to Boggy creek for our airboat ride and I am sooo scared.
I promised DH I would do this so off we go
DH uses his sat nav but she seems to take us a very weird route so it takes ages to get there, this does not help my nerves much.

we arrive and park the car I take one look around and refuse to get out the car
I have a phobia of Snakes and Im not keeen on gators either so this all seemed far too close to nature .
Hubby tries lots of gentle persusian, but my feet wont budge( I like my life and do not want to be eaten by any of floridas wildlife )

well just as I am settling down in the car I need the loo so I make a mad dash across to the building. feeling quite brave now I talk to Hubby and the boys who are waiting for their turn at 1.30.
we go and wait outside and I suddnley have a change of heart and decide to go with them(if Im really honest I didnt want to go back to the car by myself )

so we sit and wait watching a family go on their private tour and looking at the baby alligators, im convinced there laughing and saying Daddies gunna get ya

So our turn arrives and we ae all seated in the boat and then we are off

I hold on very tight to hubby's hand but its ok and I start to relax a bit
the boys and DH loved it.

it went really quick and was very interesing, the wildlife was hiding and the most exciting thing we saw was lots of turkeys

we got back and then they introduced Fiddlesticks he was quite cute and we all held him we bought the photo as the money goes to his up keep

all in all Im glad i did it as it was quite an experiance and I would do it again(Note to Hubby NOT AT NIGHT !!!) and hubby rewarded my bravery with a trip to the christmas shoppe later in the holiday

we left Boggy creek and headed back to universal city walk for the Dis meet

we had a lovely time and it was great to meet you all.

My Brain was still in the swomp with the gators as I forgot to take any piccies


Tomorrow moving to our villa and Animal kingdom

You are very brave and very funny LOL, we did the night tour three years ago, it was good fun but never again, I wore black trousers and a black t shirt, when we got back I was covered in dead bugs, my outfit looked almost white !!!!!!!!!!!

just read Latte Lover's report so no need to worry about the lack of DIS meet photos.

Glad you enjoyed your boat trip in the end. We did a night one in 1992 when the lights on their torches failed and it was really scarey.
