How nice are they?! Or was I just lucky and got a very pleasant woman?

Phoned yesterday to reserve the first of my ADRs (with finding out this telediscounts thing, its great to know that we can phone as often as we like without worrying about the cost!) and spoke to a very nice lady. When she found out I was from Scotland, she actually shrieked with delight!! :lmao: Then, she got even more excited than me when I told her this would be my first Disney holiday. Ended up sitting gabbing away to her for about 10 minutes, her giving me lots of advice and stuff.

Hope the next person is as nice when I phone to book the rest of my ADRs :thumbsup2

That's why I love to ring WDW, we have always got a lovely CM.

oh, boy are you in for a treat when you're there, EVERYONE will want to talk to you and ask you allkinds of stuff - from do you actually live in a castle to where do you stand on Iraq? the Americans are amazingly friendly and are so interested in our country.
The only problem I've ever encountered was booking my ADRs, I tried to give my name phonetically - Foxtrot-Oscar-Yankee, and they just don't get it. I had meals booked under a very strange treble barrelled surname!

I always think it is the "start" of our holiday when we phone for ADR's. Last year they ended the conversation with "Have a magical day now" and then when i phoned the HRH they ended with "Take it easy". For the following week at work (bear in mind i work on the main switchboard and reception for a housing trust) i tried to end my conversations with either one - it was hysterical:rotfl:

I just love hearing 'Have a magical day' It keeps me smiling for days :)

lol :teeth:

I can just imagine the laughter that ensued :lmao:

I have to say, the 'Have a magical day' was a special touch as well, it just felt 'disney'-ish :) As Girlsontour said, it really does feel like the 'start' of my holiday. I bought my first tickets tonight (Seaworld (1 day and 1 day free) and Universal (5 day, 3 park pass) and tomorrow, I give the balance of my holiday payment to my dad to pay to Virgin (they dont accept Visa Electron :headache: :sad2: ).

Next week is the Disney tix :woohoo: :cool1:  :thumbsup2

this is so exciting for you, my first trip was in many ways the best, arriving the first morning really early at the magic kingdom was magical - we were off site so going through the main ticket and transportation centre on to the monorail and catching the first glimpse of cindys castle around the corner was fantastic.
Also we were there so early due to jetlag we really expected crowds of people pushing and shoving and barging their way through the gates. When the opening show started and everyone was so happy and laughing and singing it took my breath away. I started crying, now everytime I see that show the tears just flow.
You're so lucky finding the DIS before you go as the people here are really nice and helpful

Glad I read this. Made our ADRs yesterday and used the 1p per minute number - the line wasn't particularly clear, but I resisted using the phonetic alphabet. Our surname has 10 letters in it - I dread to think what we would have been booked in as! Bravo-Romeo-Oscar-Tango.........:rotfl2:

The CM didn't mention a 'magical day' but she was quite amused by my attempts to 'guess the confirmation number' after the first 3. Managed to get one right, and a near miss!

When I called for our ADRs two weeks ago the confirmation numbers where fairly zipping by. There's a difference of about 500 between the first and the last.

:) Chris.
