Looking to try a new breakfast place this year and have booked The Wave and am just wondering a couple of things. Can you either do off the menu or just buffet and is it good.

TIA :)

You can order off a menu or order the buffet. It runs around $25 with tax. I always like to get the Eggs Benedict. They usually have them on the buffet as well as on the menu. I got the buffet once to get the fruit, Eggs Benedict and other stuff and the Eggs Benedict were very soggy. Learned my lesson about those. Now I just order off the menu.

We love the breakfast buffet. In fact, it's what finally convinced my DH to allow for one breakfast at WDW. He's not a big breakfast eater, but after we ate at The Wave, he couldn't stop talking about it. He also loves Boma's breakfast, so we usually alternate those each trip. BTW, we also discovered we love dinner at The Wave, too. Amazing!

We stay at the Contemporary and always do The Wave. We never make an ADR and never have a problem getting a table. My wife orders off the menu. Me and the kids do the buffet. I do it for the oatmeal. Its the best I have ever had.

We're also not big breakfast eaters, but have made our rounds through several of the WDW breakfast buffets over the years. The Wave and Boma are by FAR the best we've done. I think you'll enjoy it.

You can do one or the other....also, if you decide to do the buffet, there are about 5-6 items that are made-to-order (which are listed in the menu). Pretty good deal. It use to include mimosa but i think they stopped it. Price is about $23pp (plus tax, so ya about $25). Very good deal. Delicious breakfast! I liked it so much that i went back a couple days later. Its now my fave breakfast spot. :cloud9:

I love the breakfast buffet at the Wave!!! Sweet potato pancakes with honey pecan butter! And the grits with Tillamook cheddar cheese and bacon are awesome even if you think you don't like grits. Atmosphere is also nice and relaxing. I can't say enough good things about this place. I've also enjoyed lunch and dinner here, too; one of my favorite WDW restaurants.

Tell the server. They’ll have the chef make new ones up for you.

And they’ll make it without the bacon if you ask. :)
