We are visiting WDW in December, and I wanted to make a reservation for dinner at The Wave on our Magic Kingdom day. However, the earliest reservation available is 5:00 (when the restaurant actually opens for dinner.) Does anyone think we will have time to make it back over to MK for the Dream Lights ceremony? (On the boards it says DL come on at 6:15-6:30). I don't know if this is the kind of thing you have to search out a spot for, like the parade.

Thanks!

You'll make it. MK is a short walk from the Contemp. I wouldnt even bother with the monorail (going there yes, the Contemp is the first stop..leaving, MK is the last stop)

You can see the castle from anywhere, no need to stand in a spot. Of course, best view is out in front of the castle, but its up high, so you dont need to be front row,

Depending on your party size, dinner shouldnt be more than 45 min - 1 hour (if you add apps, add another 10 minutes.) for a party of 3 - 4. Larger parties take little more time.
