I have never been to either, in your opinion which to you prefer and why?, ty very much :)

I really love GFC, I am not a fan of sea food so I would never even book the Wave. But GFC is one of my favorite restaurants in Disney.

Ty, I am not a fan either of seafood, so GF may be the choice for me :)

I've been to both and I prefer the Grand Floridian Café. I find everything at the Wave from the dining room decor to the menu itself to be drab, excluding, of course, the amazing lounge area. Contrariwise, the Grand Floridian Café has a beautiful dining room and an appealing menu all day long.

We had a good meal a couple of years ago at GFC for my mom's 70th. Good food, good service. We had a party of 11.

That same trip we had an awesome meal at the Wave.

This past summer we had a party of 10 celebrating our 25th. Terrible food. Good service at the table, horribly rude service at check-in.

That same trip our party of 10 had an absolutely fabulous meal that same trip at the Wave. I am not sure where anyone got the impression that it is a seafood restaurant. I certainly offers fish but also many other meats.

I would recommend the Wave.

Thankyou to everyone that has replied to my post, greatly appreciate it :)

I concur with the above poster.....the wave isn't a seafood restaurant. My son and I just ate at the Wave for lunch this September and it was one of our favorite meals of the trip. Despite being free dining time the restaurant was only half full which made for a very quiet and enjoyable meal. I had the buffalo burger which was devine and my son had the grilled chicken strips which was a welcome change from the fried variety. Also, the service was fantastic and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Though I like the Grand Floridian I felt the Wave seemed much more intimate and quiet which I enjoyed after all our various character meals :lmao:

I've actually read alot of great reviews from the Wave not to mention that mouth-watering tenderloin that they have!, Although we made resv for both restaurants to see for ourselves what all they hype's about. :thumbsup2

We loved The Wave but it is not seafood. I think they had one fish dish. Anyway, our lunch at The Wave was our best lunch all week and my Reuben was the best that I have ever had anywhere!

We have never been to GFC but will be going during our next trip because DH wasn't to try the GF burger.

I like both, and agree that the Wave is not a seafood restaurant, but I would pick Grand Floridian Cafe if I had to pick between the two, I like the food there slightly better.

I like both but personally prefer The Wave. I found the service to be better then at gfc, the food was better (again in my own opinion) and the atmosphere I like Wave much better and more relaxed.

Does the GFC serve wine? We are getting ready to make our ADR's next month, so I'm making my list now.:)

Yes, they do serve wine at the GFC. We've only eaten lunch there (several times) and enjoyed it very much. We at dinner at The Wave for the first time in September, and it was superb. It will be a "must do" for us from now on. Totally different restaurants.

Thanks for the information. I'll have to check out the menus at both! :upsidedow
