Hi we are meeting friends in Florida and they have suggested we try The Wave at the Contemporary - as we have neve been before thought would post on here and see if anyone has eaten there before.

We will be a party of 6 adults and our DS6.

Thanks in advance

We have been a couple of times, and like it very much. Menu seems to have something for everyone. Service was good and kid friendly.

We have eaten there on a couple of trips and really like it. The food and service are good, and it's never hard to get a reservation. The menu is sustainable / west coasty... at least that's the best I can describe it. The ambiance is a bit different than many of the resort table service restaurants as there are no windows and the lighting is very low.

Sorry, we felt the menu was very limited, room was very noisy and did not care for this restaurant. We felt like we were in a cave with bad accoustics. It is nothing special. There are so many better restaurants at WDW then the Wave.

I really liked it when I had lunch there. It's one of those places where I've had a good meal, and want to go back, but it's not a must-do.

Ugh. We were so looking forward to this restaurant last trip. It was our adults night out meal.

First - you walk in and the lounge fools you into thinking that "The Wave" is an accurate depiction of the restaurant interior. It's cool, dark, blue, etc.

Then you walk into the actual restaurant and it's brown, and orange and BORING! Seriously, looked like I was in the reception hall in a Holiday Inn Express.

Then...we order. Appetizer portions (the one for 2 people) is so skimpy and laughable! I think there were 4 mini scallops?

I got the linguine with clams. The clams were good. I took one bite of my pasta, thought to myself how much it tasted like the sauce from Spaghettio's. Passed the plate to DH to ask what he thought and he blurts out "TASTS LIKE CHEF BOYARDEE!!".

He enjoyed his meal, but mine was just so disappointing. It was just so ugly in there, and the food was not good, IMO. I got the habenero margarita, too...absolutely NO SPICE. It tasted just like something from a mix...a traditional lime margarita.

Would not waste $$ or credits on this place again.

We ate dinner there last December and really enjoyed our meal. We were a group of 7 adults and everyone was happy with their food. While it isn't a "must do" for us, I would happily return at some point.

We had a "good" lunch and an excellent dinner. Desserts were fantastic. Restaurant was empty for lunch. Service was wonderful both times.

We were suppose to eat there on August 22 at 9:20pm. When we got there at 9:10pm, we were told we wouldn't be seated as the restaurant closed at 9:30pm. They flat out refused to even look at our reservation as I had a copy of it with me. They then suggested for us to go to the food court as it closed later... ya we were not impressed!

We've always had good luck at the Wave - great food and typically it's not packed. Have eaten there for breakfast and dinner but not lunch. If you get a chance try the black bean soup as an appetizer - delicious!:thumbsup2
