I saw on another Disney forum board today that The Wave at the Contemporary is now taking reservations beginning June 30.

I actually just tried 15 minutes ago for a date in Sept. The CM acted like I was crazy. No such restaurant, I assure you there are only 3 restaurants at Contemporary, The Wave isn't one of them. I said, it's a new one, coming in the summer-CM assured me I have bad info. So, any tips so I can help a CM book me a table?

OH NO! We just starting booking for it today, guess that CM didn't read her notes! If it happens to you again tell the CM it is new for booking begining today 4/14 for bookings anytime after June 30th. Tell her/him that it can be found on the dine screen just below Teppan Edo. That will freak them out!

I posted your problem on the other board, and this is response I got:

It's available for sure. I have my own reservations there that day for dinner. Maybe have your friend tell the Cast Member to look up the restaurant under "The" as opposed to "Wave."

I will call again in a couple of hours. ( Sometimes real work gets in the way of Disney. Can you imagine? )

I would also love a link to the menu. My DH and I really loved The Concourse and we are interested in eating at the Wave. It looks like we might be able to fit it in at the end of our trip this summer. Thanks in advance to whoever PMs me.

Here is a description from WDW about the Wave.

This summer, The Wave debuts at Disney's Contemporary Resort, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located on the first floor with a superlounge, the upscale restaurant will offer bold American cooking with flavors from all over the world. The seasonal menu will feature local and regional products when possible, organic beers and trendy cocktails such as the "antioxidant cosmo" with açai juice. The innovative wine list has a quirky claim to fame -- all screw caps, no corks. Cutting-edge wines from around the globe will be showcased.
