Today's high was 35 with wind. Too COLD for me. Come on summer!

Everybody has their temps and conditions which are just too much. 35 and windy is definitely not pleasant.

I act shocked but I went to college in a lake effect prone region. We got 6” of snow on my grad day, which was Mother’s Day. Nothing like measurable snow in the middle of May.

Happy Wednesday! I got in 6.23 miles. I was wearing a pair of shoes I bought back in December. The soles still look good on them and there’s no pain but I’m starting to notice a change. I don’t know if it’s because of the new springy shoes or because I have so many of various wear levels in rotation but they felt dead. I don’t run much… usually just to cross some streets, but it felt like I was wearing bricks at times. Something I might think about for the future.

Good morning and happy Thursday!

Another predictable weekday with 6.23 miles on my current standard route. I have to admit that it’s feeling a bit blah but it’s the best route near me from a fitness and scenery angle. We’re a pretty flat area and I’m pretty sure it’s these “hills” that have been the secret sauce for my speed and strength gains.



Also a fun little graphic… I often set my watch to run (vs walk) because it collects more data in run mode. Today was a more casual pace but I find it so funny that the watch sees the bulk of it as running. Nothing like beating Garmin’s algorithms! The idle times are me stopping my watch for a photo or to wait on traffic before crossing a street.



I guess at least it was a nice morning. Warm enough for a tank top but still cool enough for leggings and not too webby or humid. Pretty sure tomorrow will be warm enough for shorts and I might be dodging some rain.

I dodged rain today, but was blessed with this. Just so happy to be able to get out.

Not the most exciting day. I’ve got a lot going on and a lot on my mind. I just got out there and tried to walk out some of the stress and frustrations. I had to get out early and it’s a dreary gray sky, so the only pics are screenshots of my work and a picture of my symbolic turtle short. It’s that whole paradoxical speedy turtle notion.

Well... thanks to you two.. I went on a walk... around the casino complex. Wife is the gambler... I am not.... I play 7 cents to not lose and when the family arrived for dinner my club card said I played $125.00...I only lost $3.00. anyhow tourism has been bad this year so casino has a liberal free night promotion on which wife qualified...so I spent the night watching cable TV
