Loved this episode, almost sounds like Daryl's life living in the zombie apocalypse is better than the life he had before....the burning the cabin at the end was very poignant...kind of like getting rid of his past

I really thought Beth was going to get bitten yesterday. Usually when a character has so much to say, that's the end for them. My husband didn't like the episode, I thought any episode focusing on Daryl is a good episode!:lovestruc

I agree --- love Daryl. I actually enjoyed the episode and the interaction between both Daryl and Beth.

I love seeing Daryl open up. I guess he is really mad about not being able to save Herschel and save the prison. Now they are kind of floundering around, and why are there wakers wandering in the woods? Hope they find somewhere safe soon. Boy his life sounded crummy before the apocalypse.

I thought it was funny when they both gave the cabin the finger!

I don't know about this episode, some parts were good (cabin burning) but some of it was just boring. Who in their right mind would leave and run off to have a drink in the woods filled with walkers?? That just seems too far fetched for me. Daryl breaking down was good, I hope he can move on now and be the Daryl we are use to seeing. :)

I just want them to reunite. It looks like next week they will focus on Maggie, Sacha, and the other guy (can't remember his name).

I also want the Tyreese/Carol conflict to be resolved. He HAS to find out about why Rick banished her, and if Carol didn't kill Ty's girlfriend, I want to find out if Lizzie did.

Found the episode a bit boring, but cried a bit when Daryl opened up. I kept praying there would be no romance between them during their weak/low points last night. I've been scared to death of that little rumor coming true!

I thought last night's episode was very slooowww and kind of boring. They could have accomplished Daryl opening up in half an episode and also shown some of the other dis-jointed group members. I am anxiously awaiting the group getting back together, at least some of them finding each other. Next week looks pretty good, looks like Maggie, Bob and Sasha will be in some trouble.

I agree!

I agree too. What was the point of them going into the country club house? They could've cut that out entirely.

I thought the episode was wonderful. I've been feeling cheated by the fast pace and lack of character development. We got a very good look into the past and current mindset of two highly neglected characters last night. I was thrilled for a slower show and quality acting.

:thumbsup2 I thought last night's episode was much more interesting than last week's. I got why Beth wanted the drink, she needed that rite of passage to become an adult. Plus in Talking Dead, she explained it well, Beth now had a mission, where before they had none, even if it was a stupid mission, finding a drink, it was a mission. So I saw 2 things accomplished in this episode, Beth moves into adulthood, and Darryl releases his past.

I was bored, too. Even though I'd read spoilers elsewhere and knew it would be a slower, "character-building" episode, I was not into it.

My husband watched (he never watches) and said, "oh, those two are going to get down to it in the next episode... guaranteed" and I think I vomited a little in my mouth when he said that. Please, just . . . no.

I loved the whole episode. Norman Reedus is so amazing in that role and Daryl's backstory is every bit what I expected it to be. And I'm glad they didn't "go there" with anything romantic between Daryl & Beth - not only would it be a bit creepy with the age difference, even in the zombie apocalypse, it would have been so cliche that it would ruin a very powerful episode.

It's exaclty what I was expecting and I would think most people too. It wasn't some shocking revelation that I felt needed the whole episode to work up to. Acting wise, I think they both did great. And I'm glad so glad nothing romantic happened between them.

I found last nights episode a little slow going as well. I figured that Daryl was having a hard time with all the losses that they had suffered (first his brother, than every thing that happened at the prison, etc). I did like seeing him finally break down and admit it. Good job by Beth to get it out of him. It was a nice side of her character too. I agree the whole needing to get a drink was a cross-over for her into adulthood.

But over all, I'm having a hard time with the segregation of storylines for this part of the season. I'm sure that is on purpose, so the viewer feels the same sense of disconnect that the characters do. But it isn't a format that I care for. I don't like seeing Rick, Carl and Michonne for one episode and then not seeing them again for another 4 weeks, etc. It makes me wish I had just recorded them all and waited until the end of the season to watch them one after another. But there is no way that I would have been able to wait that long :rotfl2:
