Okay...I'll ask. What the heck was up with the heads?

Don't know. But I think the Governor has a very dark side. It will be interesting to see what it is. Andrea is being lured in by this man. I hope Michonne can keep her grounded. I am loving Michonne's character!!!!

The heads were icky, no idea what that was about. Don't like The Governer at all right now, he creeps me out. Always seems like the living are the ones you need to be afraid of in these types of situations.
I am suffering from Daryl withdrawal this week LOL.

I found it interesting that Andrea was so willing to give him a chance, she has always been skeptical and pessimistic and now she thinks this guy is on the up and up?

She's always been skeptical and pessimistic as part of the group, but she also always had Dale's more positive outlook to counterbalance that. I think she's willing, almost desperate to give the Governor a chance because she wants so badly to be part of a group/community again. She's never really been alone, even through the end of the world - first she had her sister, then Dale and the rest of the group. And Michonne isn't much for friendship/company despite her excellent survival skills.

Just had to share... Darryl and Merle were both here in Austin for Comic Con!!!! I got to meet them both!!! :faint:

Best. Day. Ever.

I agree. I think she's tired of running and hiding and the lure of a 'normal' lifestyle is sucking her in. Can't blame her, I'd probably be the same way. Although I don't run very quickly so I'd already be dead. :rotfl:

I love the Walking Dead!! :)

I started watching it over Memorial Day Weekend this year. We were at the beach when tropical storm Beryl hit SOOOO...we had nothing to do but watch zombies. :) My uncle had it on his computer so we watched the first season and a few episodes of the second season in one night!

It's pretty neat because they record the show fairly close to where I live (about an hour). My aunt, uncle and cousin's did a "Walking Dead" tour and went to the spots of the first few episodes: the hospital, the hill he climbs up after getting out of the hospital, the police station, the quarry I believe...I can't remember where else. I'm also going to a bridal shower of one of the actors this coming weekend. She only had a small role in the first 4 or so episodes (and not as a zombie LOL)...but still! :D

We've been hooked ever since!

Unfortunately, my internal "bed time" is 9 or 9:30 PM...haha! So I record the shows Sunday night and watch them Monday evening after work. :) I'm pretty excited about getting to see Merle again tonight!

What is the deal with the tea? Why does it seem important? The strange Dr. in the basement with the Governor mentioned it. Then when they were at breakfast the next day he asked Andrea and Michionne about it. Maybe I am just reading into something that isnt there. :confused3

Nope I noticed too and wondered about it. I wonder if they are doing some sort of experiment with something in the tea?

Living in IL anyone with the Governor title is not to be trusted. :rotfl: I wonder if he was a real governor for some state before the zombies? He and his scientist are obviously doing some sort of experimentation with these heads. He has to be a really sicko to live with all those living dead heads watching him.

I also wonderered about the tea. My two thoughts were something to make them all followers, but then the governer wouldn't drink it. My other thought it something to create immunity? But of course the only way to test that is to kill people and see if they come back, but it's all in the name of science I guess.

DS and I decided that the Governor was probably some serial killer. I found it interesting that he would not give his "real" name - makes me think he really has something to hide.

We watched Talking Dead last night and they mentioned the tea. The executive producer said it was an inside joke directed towards one of the writers, but never came out and said there was nothing nefarious about it.

Talking Dead had an interesting thought that maybe the Governor was using the zombies as a power source. There were batteries in the corner of the room in that last scene.

Yeah they also mentioned on TD that he may be using them to desensitize himself. Which would make sense given the way he was able to just slaughter all of those army survivors just so he could take their supplies and also to use it as a fear tactic to keep the town dependent upon him for their safety. I am looking forward to seeing more of him though because I find him to be a very interesting character (more interesting than michonne imo)

I think the tea is just to show how civilized they are. I thought of high tea with crumpets and jam, kind of ironic given the situation they are in. Andrea even commented on it by saying something like, "you are living it up at the end of the world." or something like that.

I wonder if the Govener was some killer, he seemed to take great pleasure in killing the army men and driving the knife in that one guys skull.

How far do the comic books go? Is the Governor in the comic books, if so, what is his basic story line?

The Govenor is in the comic books, and is very dark and gruesome. I have not read the books but I did read some wiki pages on the govenor.
I don't want to give away anything.
