As has been stated, the survivors are "The Walking Dead"
They actually covered that last night on Talking Dead. I guess too many people have been asking for the official answer.
1-Thank goodness Herschel woke up and smelled the coffee, and that he's a closet great shooter!
Yes! It made me love his character even more. I hope they keep him on the show.
Maybe earlier in his life, Hershel was not so religious and quiet. I think he may have an interesting past. I too am glad he woke up to the reality, but for a second, while he was watching their destruction (which he had not seen before), I was worried he would be frozen and perhaps a zombie get to him without him noticing. I have said all along, he is the last one they need to lose. He is the closest thing they have to a human doctor and at the rate everyone is getting injured, he is valuable to the group.
Though I am still confused as to why they went through such effort to save the kid who'd just been shooting at them. Especially when their plans are to just drop him off somewhere when he can walk.
I wondered that too, but assumed they did it because he may have some information about the status of the world outside that small farming community. Blindfolding him isn't going to do much good, I don't think. I mean, depending on how observant he is, when they take him to wherever, he can sense when the vehicle has made a turn and in which direction. If Maggie and Glenn took horses into town to the pharmacy and the pharmacy is across the street from the bar, it can't be that far into town. I was glad to see Hershel finally stop thinking he can save everyone from a horrible outcome. He realized they had run out of time to cut this guy free from the gate and said to shoot and get out of there.
2-Lori Lori Lori. I just feel she's

with Rick & Shane, my DH disagrees with me. I was kinda hoping she'd lose the baby in the accident and defuse that particular bomb, but no luck I guess..
Lori is more than stirring the pot, she pretty asked Rick flat out, to kill Shane at the end of last night. And honestly, Shane scares me, he is losing his mind. But then again, to a point, I guess they all are..
Oh, Lori. I agree that she is stirring it and definitely is giving Rick the cue to kill Shane. Shane does scare me, but moreso since he has Andrea on his side, stroking his ego. I sensed a little bit of mutiny in the works with them. Not sure what to think of Rick's reaction to what Lori told him. I can see a little bit of "I agree", but at the same time, his expression seemed more "You are a crazy lady looking to save your own conscious." I tend to go with the latter. Rick needs to throw her to Shane and tell him to take care of her.
4-WHY do they have to turn Darryl into a nut case? He was becoming one of my fave's, along with Glenn.
I don't think Daryl will be nut case for long, I think he was already softening again at the end of last night. She will break through to him. He and Glen are my favorites too..
I have been pretty upset by the way Daryl has been acting, but I think Carol is good for him. Even though she came from an abusive relationship, she stood up to him when she felt threatened. I was waiting for him to very emotionally kiss her in this episode. I noticed the softening when everyone in the house was discussing this new guy with the bad leg. As Darryl walked through the door, he seemed to glance at Carol and sort of move his head a bit to say "I'm here". Maybe I read that wrong, but I thought of it as a silent communication that only she would understand.
-----------
I liked how Rick told those guys at the bar that times have changed and everyone is being forced to do things they would not normally do. The reality of the situation is setting in. I think Lori is taking that train of thought to the extreme.
I have a question for anyone who has read the comics. I don't want any spoilers. Remember in the tv series, Season 1 episode 1 after Rick left the hospital and ran into that man and his son (Mommy dearest was hanging near the house and front door)? Was this man and his son even in the comic books and if so, were they mentioned in the books later on? I don't want details. I am just getting tired of wondering if they are going to show up on the tv series.
There is usually a reason for everything said in a movie or tv show. Does anyone have any thoughts on the story maggie told Andrea about when she came home from college that first year? The story about the birth control pills. Maybe it was just one of those stories to let us know that the things that once mattered really are not important anymore???
I think if I was Glenn, Hershel, or Rick, I would be more careful about casually strolling into town knowing there are many many walkers. I am wondering where all those walkers have been. I mean, everywhere else.....downtown Atlanta, the neighborhood Andrea and Shane went to, and the neighborhood Rick and that man/son from the initial episode all had zombies everywhere during the day. Why has this town been been deserted until last night?
