I really enjoyed last night's episode. The season started out slow, but I think they had to to set up last night. I think once Carol and Morgan hear what Negan did to Glen and Abe they will be willing to fight.

I can't believe Luiclle stopped the bullet, a little far fetched but Negan had to find out they were making bullets somehow. Poor Eugene will now be his slave.

I wonder what will happen when Negan finds out Daryl is gone. I imagine Daryl will stay at Hilltop, but you know Negan will think he's at Alexandria and won't believe Rick that he's not there.

It was nice to see Rick snap out of it and is now willing to fight. I can't wait for him to speak to King Ezekiel and they will all join forces.

I really want to know who is in the boots, can't imagine it's anyone good lol.

I just had a thought. I wonder a way they will be able to defeat Negan is that Eugene will make the Saviors blanks.???

A couple of things I don't understand:

Maggie is staying at Hilltop with Sasha until the baby is born. Maggie is on track to take over Hilltop. Rick told Negan Maggie is dead. Negan will be furious when he finds out Maggie is alive. Why are they all so "meh?" about that?

Why is Carol alone? Isn't she terrified Negan will find her? She is outside of the Kingdom so she has no real protection. Just think it's odd. Or maybe I am just sooooooo sick of Carols "I want to be alone and die" attitude. Enough. Go back to the Carol we know and love.

Rosita shooting at Negan. She had one gun and one bullet. If she had killed Negan, all heck would have broken loose and many Alexandrians would die. All of Negans people had guns and they probably would have shot the place to smithereens.

All in all, I liked the episode, but just a few things that bugged me.

Negan doesn't know who Carol is and Carol has only heard of Negan, she has no clue what he is capable of, part of the reason I think she didn't want to fight the saviors when that guy asked them. I believe when she finds out what happened to Glenn and Abe she will wake up. She was very close to Glenn, with him from the beginning, plus she will be upset Maggie's baby will grow up without a father, a good father. We've already seen how protective Carol is when it comes to Maggie and the baby.

The telling Negan that Maggie is dead bit...I don't know. I guess it won't matter if they go to war.

Carol doesn't know about Negan. She wasn't around for the lineup season opener. She did go to that annex place where Rick's group killed a bunch of Negan's men but didn't she stay off with Maggie? They got captured and she killed a few of Negan's people. She has no clue of the extent of the situation. When she hears, I am hoping the old Carol comes back.

Rosita...dumb move. But they had to set up a reason to kill Olivia and take Eugene (which they never took him in the comics so I don't know where that is going).

I believe Eugene died in the comics quite a while ago. Didn't he actually die after Abraham beat him up after finding out Eugene was lying about having a cure?

Another thing too, they had that scene with Aaron and Rick about how the Alexandrians couldn't understand why Rick didn't want to fight and Aaron pointed out they weren't there when everything went down. Yes, Maggie, Carl, Michonne and Rosita are hell bent on revenge, but I think they understand why Rick is doing what he's doing because they were there.

Yes, Maggie, Carl, Michonne and Rosita are hell bent on revenge, but I think they understand why Rick is doing what he's doing because they were there.

Boots... could be someone from the Oceanside community or.... could be a Whisperer. Could be one of Negan's people or someone from the Kingdom, I suppose. I was thinking an Oceanside gal.

I read on another forum a guess that it could be one of the Wolves that Morgan let go free. Someone else said they initially thought the mystery boots person was a woman, which could easily be someone from Oceanside. I'd have to guess that they introduced Oceanside at this time and gave them the story of their run-in with the saviors to have them play a part in this impending war that's brewing.

Eugene is still alive &m very active. No,he lived after Abraham beat him. Just ask Rosita

It was really uncomfortable to watch Daryl being constantly afraid and skittish. I cannot wait until he is full on Daryl mode again!

I think the boots belong to someone we have not met yet, maybe a new group. The boot looked huge to me, too big to be dwight or one of the women from oceanside IMO.

Not sure it was Jesus that helped Daryl get out of there. Wasn't there a key attached to the note? Plus how would Jesus find out where Daryl was so quick. So I'm thinking it was either Dwight or Sarah who helped Daryl out.

Yeah & Jesus would have no idea Daryl's bike was even there.
