The walking dead amc #2

I think he is still alive. I think it was either a hallucination, or he crawled under the dumpster and he will pop up in next weeks episode with a story to tell. This is why I think that:

Nobody saw the death, so how will the group ever know? He was being eaten by hundreds of walkers so there will be no "body" to identify, and he won't turn up as a walker, his body would be just bones left. I can't see them just leaving his death hanging out there with no closure for the group.

He was not on the Memoriam section of TD

He was not on TD. I don't buy the explanation Chris Hardwick gave, "We wanted to give everyone time to process his death." Um no, when have they EVER done that, they usually parade the person out so they can say, "See he is alive in real life people, he is fine and we are going to get through this!" They always say it is important for the fans to see the character who was killed off is okay.

Everyone was too cagey on TD, they were talking in circles and not confirming or denying.

It does not add up for me.

I predict he is alive and Enid is with the wolves.

I hope he crawled under the dumpster however, your comment above is something that makes me think he might be dead. Isn't that what it would really be like to lose someone in that situation? No closure, no knowing, no good bye? The writers could be trying to make the audience experience what his "real" friends and family experience.

I watched "the scene" about 20 times. It is not what is appears to be. The positioning is all wrong. Also, there have been pictures posted of that cast member filming just this last week with characters that have not been introduced yet so the scenes are not flashbacks. The Talking Dead was a bunch of misdirection-none of the cast was there because they did not want to have to answer questions regarding that cast member. Showing the audience reaction and the statement from Gimple was more misdirection. IMO, it is all a fake.

This!

I also re-watched a few times comparing the angles etc. and it looked wrong.
Also, I'm not sure how to say this delicately but the "stuff" seen being removed does not really belong where it would have if it had belong to xxxx.

I was thinking about the baby food and the time line of the episode, are we sure those Wolves are the ones from Alexandria? I admit I didn't get a close look. Also, what if the wolves have a baby? If they had Judith wouldn't she be with them? Andy why do trucks/cars always turn over quickly when you don't need them to, but won't turn over when you do.

I just can't see them doing that to him. He has been with the group since season 1, he needs a proper goodbye. If nobody back at Alexandria knows what happened to him, they would not leave the area or rest until he was found, which he never would be. No way would they leave without knowing one way or the other. they would always be looking for him and get "stuck" in the "where is he?" trap. They would always be holding onto the hope that he would return. I could not see them just shrugging and saying, "well we can't find him, he must be dead I guess?" I just don't think they would do that to a character of his caliber. Maybe to a lesser character.

DH and I are both really unsure of what happened last night. I also don't think that he how he is going to go out. Either the other guy landed on top of him and he is going to manage to roll out and under the dumpster (reaching, I know, lol) or it was the other guys hallucination, etc.

I think I'm going to be even more irritated if that was his death and they kept us hanging on to hope that he was OK with all the non-committal words/actions on TD. No "in memorium" and comments about how the other guy taking his own life "may" have broken America's hearts, etc.

I'm telling you....Enid has Judith. And Enid is running with the Wolves. Rick pulling that jar out of the dead wolf's pocket just cements it for me. Why else would the guy have a jar of baby food???
I would think that they would eat anything and after some of the stuff they have probably eaten, baby food would taste pretty good. They live on the road and scrounge for food, killing people and taking whatever they can get from them. Baby food is just food to them.

For those that think Enid is with the wolves, I have a couple of questions that I can't get over and therefore, I can't imagine her with them.

1- If she was a plant, why would the wolves wait over 3 months to attack? Why wait till Rick and his group show up, when before they were weak, defenseless and an easy target. Sitting outside the gates and watching for 3 months prior to attacking just doesn't sound like something the wolves would do. They seem more impulsive.

2- Enid was only on her own, after her parents died, for maybe 2 weeks at the most. How could she have formed such a close bond with the wolves in that short amount of time? Why would she? I would think they would have used her up and then killed her. She is not ruthless like they are. Even if she had, you would think that after 3 months of living in ASZ that she would no longer be willing to partner with the wolves at the expense of the lives of those in the ASZ.

3- Why would she take Judith? There are just so many things wrong with that picture. She could start crying, not stop and draw walkers to her. Taking her would draw the wrath of Rick and his people on to them. What use do they have for a baby? I just can't figure out the mindset behind kidnapping her.

That is one of the biggest tells to me. The fact that they didn't have him on was out of place. Whenever a big character has died, they have always had them on TD after the episode. Not having him on is a big red flag.

Anyone notice the preview they had for next weeks episode (the one after the show aired)? It was all just Morgan. I swear, next weeks episode better not be all about him and what he went through. Don't get me wrong, I would love to know what happened to him from the time Rick first met him up until now, but there are more important things going on right now!!!!! Don't they normally show a preview during TD? Did they show one last night? If so, what was one it?

Okay WOW, is there anyone left alive anymore? I wasn't expecting them to blow through all those Alexandrians after the massacre last week. And Glen, I'm really not sure he's dead. I suppose if anything he might end up a zombie, but from the shot they took and the way he screamed I don't actually think it was him they were ripping apart. I think that was Nicholas. And they way they mentioned on TWD that we'll see him again in some way.......I expect him to go soon, but I'm not sure this was it. If anything he may survive this and then die at the end of the season after we think he's safe.

Yes, they showed a preview and it was just Morgan. I'm also thinking they are going to focus on his backstory next week which is going to be a bit of a letdown after all that's been going on. I mean I want to see it at some point, but not a whole episode.

Rick
Daryl
Glenn
Maggie
Michonne
Carol

Even though Kirkman says nobody is safe, I think these 6 are.

I agree, but thought for one second when Rick was holding his hand it would be a pretty big shocker if he turned. No one would expect Rick to go.

or it was the other guys hallucination, etc

Much as I want XXXXX to be alive, I hope this is not what happens. Hallucinations are such a cheap trick.

I agree, hallucinations would be lame. I think he is saved by someone who is watching, or he scoots under the dumpster. Remember in one episode of season 1 where Glenn and Rick covered themselves in walker guts then walked amongst them without being detected? That could be what happens here. I think this was the ultimate way to kill off a main character without actually killing off a main character. The fans go through the reactions, but he comes back in a couple weeks (maybe the mid-season finale.)

BTW, I think it's okay to say the name because the show has aired on both coasts and details about last nights episode are ALL over the internet. If someone is looking at this thread without having watched it, I think its on them.

Bahahaha - I agree. It is a lame trick. But if it brings the character back, I'll let them slide this time ;)

I need to go back and re-watch where Rick's hand got injured. I thought he just sliced it on that machete that he pulled out of the walker. I didn't think any of them bit him.

Nobody bit Rick, he cut his hand on the knife. On TD last week they said he really cut himself. The knife broke in the walkers head and sliced his hand. Apparently he went with it and kept going.

I had to rewind an look at this scene. I think when he killed the second walker with the sword sticking out of his back, he cut his hand. He could have also hurt it when his knife broke. And whats with the pocket knives. By now shouldn't they at least have something larger.

I wasn't thinking bite, but more of an infection from being cut by a knife that was in a Z. After thinking about it though, I've discounted this idea entirely. Rick would've just cut the finger off like he did with Hershel's leg.

I agree. The point of the thread is to talk about and speculate about the show. I avoid this thread until I've watched the latest eps.

Next week's episode is about Morgan's flashback. We won't find out what happened to Glen for two weeks!

That wolf who attacked Rick was the one that Morgan let go (with a gun).

would that be the mid-season finale?? What a perfect time to bring back Glenn!!

Ugh I hate mid-season finales....or rather the break in the season following the mid-season finale.

So, only 2 more episodes and we have to take a huge break till January? Ugh, that is ridiculous. It just started!!!
