The walking dead amc #2

I have to admit, I wasn't thrilled with this episode. It felt like it kept repeating the same thing with not enough content. I didn't like that they didn't even address Beth's death in the episode but instead went right into another main character's death. And I don't understand how Tyreese would have let his guard down so much inside the house when he knew there were walkers around.

And the commercials...way too much. We ended up watching the clock and the show would run 3 minutes and then have another 3-5 minutes of commercials.

OMG the commercials were way too long. Ridiculous. I get that they make a lot of money via advertising, but come on, the show breaks for 3 months then we get about a half hour show.

I think Tyreese let his guard down because the walker seemed to be in a room behind a closed door. When he walked up to the room and heard the hissing, I said , "that sounds like a kid." I am assuming it was that walker that bit Ty, but I don't know how he opened the door. I think he was also thrown by the pictures of Noah and his brother for some reason.

Seeing as the whisperers isn't even a little bit resolved in the comic books. I'm still saying it's not going to happen in even the next season.

I really feel like the rest of the season we'll be dealing with these wolves. Glenn started talking about that train car guy last night that he let out from terminus. Wasn't he the leader of the group that turned terminus into cannibals? I feel like we may be dealing with that guy in a big way in the next 7 episodes.

Didn't that guy get eaten by walkers after they let him out?

We know the TV series doesn't follow the comics entirely, so their status in the comic books is a moot point. Agree to disagree on the Whisperer's ;)

Good point about Glenn bringing up that guy from Terminus that he let out. At the end of one of the Terminus episodes, he was the one that was shown beating/raping Mary and Gareth and the rest of the terminus crew. One of the other forums I frequent had a theory that if the show really strayed from the comics, this guy might tie into Negan somehow. He had the same look as Negan does in the comics. While he does resemble him, I don't think it will tie in.

I remember Walkers surrounding him but did he for sure get eaten? Now I can't remember!

Anyone remember what Glenn said about the guy in the last episode? I wonder why they would bring it up again then.

On TD they said that Glenn said if he had it to do again he wouldn't have opened that car to try to save anyone else.

I need to rewatch, seems like there was a ton of stuff in this episode, too much to soak in in one viewing.

Agreed! My friend was just in Vegas and ran into good old Daryl on Fremont Street. Lets just say that she was a happy camper with the photo op!!!

He is one of the nicest, most down-to-Earth people I've met. Very cool guy.

My thinking is, the kid was in his bedroom with the outside door shut, but that maybe there was a bathroom connecting the two boys rooms. Once Ty went into one room, the walker kid followed the sound into the bathroom and into his brothers room.

I think Glenn was just saying how bad things are, trying to make Rick feel better about wanting to kill Dawn.

Greg Nicotero ( director of this episode) said on TD that the radio broadcasst were in Tyreese's head. He also let out that they are introducing a bad faction that did the attack on the village. He did not specify if it was the Whisperers or not.

The episode picks up about 17 days after Beth's death so that is how they were able to travel so far in what seems a short time. Now that Tyreese is dead a wonder who will be their heart. I know it was said that Michonne will be the moral compass but who will be the soul?

We just kept saying over and over "Where is Hershel???!!!!" When Scott Wilson was on TD after his final episode, he did not seem to happy what happened to his character. We were wondering if they asked him to come back and he said no. I just adored him.

I thought there was a lot of disconnection with Glen an Maggie the first part of the season and then when they were not in the same car, I was wondering what is going on with them.

My husband figured that he thought that she probably just wan't up to going out on a mission quite yet in light of what happened with Beth. I thought that made sense.

I'm surprised no one has posted yet about last night's episode! Any thoughts on it? I found it to be extremely boring and did very little to move the plot along. We get that they're sad, hungry, etc.

The scene with the walkers pushing up against the barn door - did anyone else think it was a dream? Another forum I frequent is torn on this. About half (myself included) think that the storm or possibly a tornado swept all the walkers away, and then the group slept. The other half think Maggie was dreaming this and the aftermath was still from the storm, but the walkers never even made it to the door. I guess it's irrelevant, just funny how the perceptions are different.

Anyone else think the water was going to be from Morgan? But I was excited to see Aaron at the end. If his character holds true to the comics, he'll play an integral role in moving the plot along to the next major turning point (ASZ for those who know the comics).

Seems like the Whisperers remain to be seen, but I'll be interested to see how the corpses with the Ws carved into them will come up again. I also wonder if those dogs that ran out from the woods will have any further meaning, or if it was solely a (brief) suspenseful moment that ultimately brought them food. Were these the wolves that people were expecting to see? It was difficult to tell if it was dogs or wolves in the preview. Wasn't sure if I missed something.

I thought it was a little slow too, but at least we got to see all the characters. And I did think the water was from Morgan too!

I thought the door/walker scene was a tornado at first, then a dream when they showed Maggie waking up and then a tornado again when they went outside and there were walkers with branches going all the way through them, etc. ;)

I think it was a dream about the walkers... Judith was still in Carl's arms like when they went to sleep when Maggie awoke. Then they Maggie and Sasha went outside they saw the results of the storm which killed a herd of walkers but left the barn unscathed... which seemed a little too far fetched and magical IMO.

What does Aaron do in the comics if you care to share? I am a little suspicious of someone so clean and who knows Rick's name.

Judith was in Ricks arms when they woke up. I personally don't think it was a dream, but that's just my thoughts.

Please don't post here what Aaron does in the comics.

Yes, Judith was in Rick's arms when Maggie woke up.

At the end of the episode, I didn't think it was a dream either. But in the back of my mind, I was wondering how so much damage (trees down, etc) happen outside while the barn was still standing.
