The walking dead amc #2

Who do you guys think Negan picked up on his way back to the Sanctuary?
I think he picked up Gregory (though the female savior is a good thought too as someone else pointed out). Gregory doesn’t seem to be at the Hilltop and he wasn’t with the group Rick slaughtered, so...

When they left the sea village Aaron said he wanted to stick around and sent Enid home
And in 10 more episodes we will revisit Aaron and be expected to remember everything that happened and really care about his situation...:rotfl2:

I really do like this show...I just wish they didn't leave character's storylines for so long that I almost forget they exist (or at least stop caring that they ever existed).

This is exactly how I feel. Too many characters, and too long before we revisit a story line. I completely forget what happened by the time they circle back to a story line that happened weeks and weeks ago.

Ok, so WHY did Jadis wrestle the flare from Negan knowing the chopper was going to show up in like 10 seconds??? And she couldn't just try jumping up and down and waving???? The chopper was like 50 feet in the air and pointed right at them! And what was the point of the zombie cart????????????????? If she knew the chopper was coming she could've just started a fire in the wheelbarrow (after pulling out Lucille).

Nothing makes sense.

Also, after Rick and Morgan's killing of the runaway saviors, the writers have made him a very unsympathetic character...and Negan has become a more sympathetic character. Rick is acting like a "bad guy" now. It's stupid.

And finally, I'm tired of one-dimensional characters. Everybody is watery eyed and near tears whenever they speak (I'm looking at you Morgan, Carol, Rick and Michonne). Maggie has the constant 1000 yard stare. Darryl grunts in single syllables through stringy greasy hair.

I agree with ALL of this except the Rick thing. He’s at war. Bringing those people back to Hilltop would have been stupid IMO. Only other option was to kill them in that situation.

And I think the writers DELIBERATELY set up this episode to make Rick look like the bad guy and make Negan look like more of a good guy — or at least nuanced. He seems genuinely sorry that the garbage people were slaughtered and leaves Jadis alive.

I just think this setup is silly and contrived. They’re in the middle of a WAR. The writers are expecting us to think that the characters shouldn’t act like it otherwise they’re bad people. Silly.

Thanks! I think now I slightly remember that lol, Like others have said they wait too long to revisit a storyline and you forget what the heck happened.

I read on another forum about the Rick and Morgan situation. I was not happy with them killing the Saviors that seemed redeemable, but someone pointed out those Saviors also chose to run back to the Sanctuary knowing Simon could care less about them. That if Negan showed up at that bar, those same Saviors would have left Rick and Morgan for dead and went with Negan. The poster basically said they were opportunists, would just go wherever they felt they had a stronger survival and would not be loyal. Sort of like Eugene or at least the way Eugene is acting. He still seems to have some loyalty to the Alexandrians as he helped Doctor Carson and Gabe escape and has kept mum about Dwight, but he also choses to stay with Negan because he feels that is where he is safer. So someone like Aldon is more trustworthy because he chose to stay behind, he has showed loyalty, but if I was Aldon I'd sleep with one eye open lol.

I also agree they have to make Rick look bad & Negan look good to make it more believable when they keep Negan around. Perfect example is when Rick wouldn't take Jadis back with him, but Negan offered. We can understand why Rick wouldn't after all the times she screwed him over, but it makes Negan look nicer.
I am guessing someone from Oceanside saves Aaron which leads to an alliance.
Jadis definitely knew the copter was coming based on the alarm set up when it arrived and the packed suitcase. I am curious to know who they are/where they are. Would this be a possible connection to FTWD?
I would guess Negan picks up the Savior woman that knows about Dwight or it's Gregory. I am leaning towards the woman to put Dwight in more danger. I have always been suspicious of Enid though & also thought she was informing Negan. My proof is the jar of pickles that made Maggie sick just as the Saviors had that whole blockade set up to catch Rick & co as they tried to get Maggie to Hillside. That seems like ages ago, but is like 3 weeks again the show timeline???

I don't think Enid is working with Negan. She seems to really care about the Alexandrians, obviously Carl and then there is Maggie and she was very close to Glenn. Would Negan risk Enid getting hit by one of the infected arrows, she was at the Hilltop when all this fighting went on.

Didn't Eugene come up with the idea of dipping the weapons in walker blood? Nothing redeemable about that.

I agree they are making Negan more likable. He was genuinely sorry about what happened to the trash people. Simon is becoming the bigger villain. Negan could have bashed Jadis's head in when he was free, but instead he offered for Jadis to come with him, swung Lucille over his shoulder and said he would come back to check in on her.

What was the deal with the walker that was strapped to the cart?

I didn't get the cart walker either til I saw Taking Dead. They said the bar can be released so the walker then is laying flat & can eat someone without being loose.

I think Eugene suggested just throwing heads and body parts at them to distract them since they were low on ammo. Negan came up with actually dipping the weapons into the guts to actually kill them.

Did Gregory ever see Dwight at Hilltop? I am guessing not b/c then the other Saviors would have seen him too. If Negan did pick up Gregory, Gregory could be the one to tell him.

No, he never made it to the hilltop. He left Tara to lead the other saviours away from the rest of the Alexandria residents so they could safely get to the hilltop.

I actually enjoyed tonight. I had a bad feeling that Negan knew all along Dwight turned on him and used him to give Rick and company bad info. If Dwight was smart he would have said Laura was the traitor when he realized she wasn't there. Negan would have killed her on the spot when he saw her on the side of the road, never giving her the chance to tell her side of the story.

I wish Rosita and Daryl were nicer to Eugene because I think he would have been happy to go back with them, instead they were mean and pretty much told him he was no longer a part of them giving him the guts now to make the bullets Negan wants.

I'm really going to miss Simon but I knew his days were numbered.

Well they are claiming the war ends next episode, let's hope it's a good end.

The best part of the night was when they shaved Steven Ogg's (Simon) mustache off on the Talking Dead!

I did like how Dwight double crossed Simon. I knew Negan had to be setting him up with the map because Laura had to be in the camp, hidden somewhere before Negan brought her out. No way did I think Gregory was the person Negan picked up. I am surprised how quickly Gregory followed Dwight's order to leave and take the map to Rick. That is definitely not like him. Gregory is an @-- kissing opportunistic coward, not a brave hero. Whoever wrote that part obviously didn't look back at Gregory's character description.

I did also like how Negan didn't just yield to the peace-loving side when Michonne read Carl's letter to him. He's back to being a baddie, also shown in the preview shown on Talking Dead where Negan is explaining his plan to Gabriel.

Also, Simon was the one who killed all the men from Oceanside!? Well, from where ever they lived before.

And we're still a little over a month since Negan killed Glenn and Abraham! The slower than a snail's pace makes me crazy.

Ugh, Gimple will be on Talking Dead next week. :crazy2:

I didn't watch TD -- Gimple is really going to be on next week?? Skip.

I agree with all of this. Only thing I'd say about Gregory is that he had to assume that having been revealed as a traitor who was going to join Simon to kill Negan, Gregory must assume that Negan will kill him next. He must figure his only chance is to go back to hilltop and ask Rick et al for mercy. I don't think it's a brave act -- it's his only chance.

I think Gregory is out for Gregory and will side with whoever is on top. I think he got scared when Negan revealed he knew Simon was going to try to take over so he took Dwights offer to go to Hilltop.

It was Simon who killed all the men of the Seaside people.

Makes sense Gimple is on TD next week, since Fear is starting up next week.

Wonder if there will be a big death in the finale next week.
