The walking dead amc #2

Now that I look back at it, I wonder if it was to make it a quick and clean break. No talking about why or getting back together, etc. Just done and over with. I still think it was harsh though :(
Abraham is the WORST breaker-upper on the planet! There will be no late-night booty calls from that break-up.

I love the new F. Gabriel. No reason a priest can't be bad-@ss.

I read a thing where we are worried about the wrong kidnap victims. Apparently there is a theory that Heath and Tara get kidnapped when thjey leave to go on their two-week run and that Tara is the one who gets it. Or at least in some fashion. Not sure if the clip was from TD or in the preview after TWD, but I guess there's a shot of someone in a hood (a victim from our group) and that Denise is the one who goes to it. Theory being if it was Maggie, Glenn would and vice versa and if it was carol it would be Daryl.

I'm just worried that that was a Savior outpost and there is a HUGE compound somewhere else.

That could be true because where the heck is Negan?????

Didn't seem to bother Gabriel much.

"AMEN"

FG is growing on me, which means he will probably get killed off soon.

Last night Norman Reedus tweeted something about the episode and referenced Boondock Gabriel, which I thought was hilarious, as Norman was paralleling his character in Boondock Saints to Father Gabriel.

I think you may be on to something with Carol and Maggie being a red herring. The one thing I did catch last night (when I wasn't turning blue from holding my breath) was they focused quite a bit on Tara and Heath saying goodbye to Glenn.

Heath will not be back to TWD. He was signed on as one of the lead characters in the new 24 reboot. Whether he dies, or is just never heard from again after this two week run that he and Tara are going on remains to be seen

I'm thinking that was a Savior outpost and Negan has a bigger, more secure compound somewhere else. The armory that Glenn and Heath finally found was very small and did not have many weapons in it. I would think that if Negan was as big, and bad as he is rumored to be, then he would have more weapons stocked up. That's why that location they raided screamed "outpost" to me.

Oh, that would make sense then with the scene between Tara and Denise where Denise is saying that she will tell Tara she loves her when she returns. Hum.....

Didn't get to watch until today....I hated waiting!!!! I was very tense watching it. Yikes on the abraham breakup. Never reference dingle berries when your breaking up with someone. It was cold but classic abraham. I think that is exactly how he would break up with someone.

I knew that was some type of post and not the main compound as soon as they pulled up. Hilltop and Rick had no idea what they were dealing with. It will be crazy watching these next few episodes and seeing who gets it. So many plausible theories floating around it seems like so many characters could get it, still hoping it isn't Daryl!!!

The group is turning into people no better than the Saviors, Woodbury, or even the Wolves.

I was kinda saying the same thing after Carol killed the wolf. We were discussing if he had any humanity and I thought he did deep down. I said to dh last night that they are killing what could be innocent people, they are going off what hillside told them. Yes we saw the gruesome pictures, but who knows if all of them are evil, it could be people who are staying there because they are afraid to be alone on the outside. Again, we forgive rick and Co because we know them and who they were/are and turn a blind eye to what they do sometimes. Who said is this the new world in the episode? I think they know this was wrong and they are going to pay a big price for this. They have lost so many trying to do the right thing, but they will see doing the opposite and killing first and asking questions later will end just as badly. I can't say that I blame their way of thinking and actions based on what they have lived through, but they will see both lifestyles have consequences.

I would venture a guess that what they are doing is no different that most of the groups that are left in this world. I would think you could only play the nice guys for so long before you started to fight back.

Of course, but as a viewer, I'm finding myself no longer sympathizing with them. Which may be the intent.

Watching tonight's episode. Early in episodes thoughts:
  1. yay Carol for romantic interests.
  2. Eugene's Virgia's for Lovers shirt was worn on the wrong day.
  3. Abraham's comment to Rosita "I thought you were the last woman on Earth" was wrong. Felt bad for her, like he was only with her because she was the only option.

I loved Eugene's shirt...his comic relief is perfect in this show.

Abraham was so cruel, my goodness!

I knew there had to be more, that attack seemed too simple and then they were all kind of congratulating each other, I knew there had to be more people. And when they were stabbing people in the head DS18 and I both said what if those people are innocent victims, what if they are part of the group and never hurt anyone or even prisoners. I know the one guy was evil bc of his polaroids but you really did not know that of everyone.

At the end when that guy tried to escape on the bike.. Daryl asked him where'd he get it. Is that the bike that Dwight stole from him??

They totally went off of what Hilltop told them. How do they know that Hilltop was being truthful and honest? Yes, Daryl, Abe and Sasha had a bad run in with some of Negan's guys, but still. They should have done surveillance on them for at least a day or two and not just run in like that. Reconnaissance is a good thing and a lot of important info could have been learned by taking some time to do that.

Plus, if Abe was doing his job and not staring at Sasha, that guy may not have gotten the slip on him and hit that alarm.

Or Negan and those guys never revealed how much property, land or people that they have to the Hilltop peeps so what he told them was what he truly did know about the place. They may have kept the Hilltop people only in certain sections when demanding their things

Yeah, I'm sure that Negan's people are playing it pretty close to the vest when they deal with other settlements and groups. I wonder though, if our group had done surveillance for a day or two if they would have discovered that this was just an outpost and that they could have gotten additional info on the rest of Negan's people.

I think they underestimated them and rushed into this and some people are probably going to pay with their lives for it.

I would think that after the Hilltop people came back, mentioned that 2 of their people were killed and 1 was being held hostage by Negan's people and then the guy stabs his own leader to get his brother back, Added to the run in that Daryl, Sasha and Abe had, Rick came to the conclusion they were telling the truth.

I agree, they totally underestimated Negans group. They were too sure of themselves. They have defeated so many other groups like the wolves, the governor etc. that they feel too confident. They just charged in like, "we got this." Now they are paying the price.

I too was surprised that they didn't do any surveillance. Learn who they are, where their settlement actually is, and more. To just rush in there and find only a small group seemed sketchy. Have to wonder if that's only a small outpost for their group.
