We stayed at the Waldorf for the last evening of our vacation as sort of a "Grand Finale." I can't say enough great things about this hotel. While we checked in, the gentleman at the front deak was extremely friendly, talkative, and accomodating. He found out it was our 10 year anniversary, and upgraded us to a king room on the 11th floor facing Epcot in one direction and Hollywood Studios in another direction.

Everyone from valet to bell hop to room service were falling all over themselves to meet our every need or possible wish. We didn't know what to do with that much customer service! I did feel a little bit like a country girl in a big fancy place, but I got over myself pretty quickly :)

This is a picture of the lobby. It is very dazzling as you walk through the doors...

This was the bed... EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE!! I was in heaven... seriously.

Here are 2 shots of the bathroom (not pictured is the shower, which was also exceptional)... P.S. I would have probably lived in that bathrobe if my husband had let me. LOL!!!

Here is a view from one side of the window (you can see the castle beyond Spaceship Earth). We were able to see Wishes and Illuminations at night. Not pictured is the other side of our view, which looked out towards HS.

We did order in room dining, and the food was fantastic.

I would love to stay here again sometime. It's fairly expensive, but we got about 45% off the standard price through our travel agent. According to the gentleman at the front desk, they are really trying to get the word out and entice people to come there, since they are fairly new in town. I'm sure there are many deals to be found if you ask around. We went the second week in September, and it was very quiet there.

This is at the top of my list of hotels to stay at outside of WDW after I check out a few more Deluxes. I'm still planning on trying a few more Deluxes just out of curiosity, though I have a feeling I've already stayed at the top two (YC and GF). The W=A looks gorgeous and I've heard great things about it on other forums.

I wish Disney had something this nice to offer. I am fearful of the Moderates and Values. And I find the Deluxes to be high 3 star hotels, not even 4. For the price that Disney charges, I see that the W=A is about the same rate, but is much more luxurious. Only downside for me is not being picked up and dropped off at the airport and transportation to all the parks is not as good as the monorail/boat/bus provided by WDW. But the idea of staying at a hotel this lovely may override those shortfalls.

I agree with you. Since we had our own car in Disney, we didn't have to worry about transportation. We researched all the Deluxe resorts, but none of their rooms looked nearly as nice as the Waldorf... and yet the Disney prices were higher!

The staff was also very excited to have us and treated us like royalty. It was such a great experience.

Thanks for the review...I have never actually been to this particular board before, but I came over looking for some information at The Waldorf Astoria and I think this post sealed the deal. Although we will only stay for one night...I will be happy to try...
