The "waiting for SWA to open it's Nov/Dec dates" thread. NOW BOOKING THROUGH 12/12

I'd book the first date and then book the return when the schedule opens up further.
 
Have you called them recently, simba2? I just keep sitting here waiting and waiting and waiting for them to open back up. I just wish we had some idea of what was/is going to happen. When I talked to the CSR she said that they would probably come out some time today but I feel like I can't do anything but sit here and wait. What a wasted day.
 
Oh-I hope I have the correct page bookmarked for when the Thanksgiving dates come out! I went to southwest.com then to Book Air. Is this the best page for reservations? If not, can you please send me the better page?

ForTheLoveOfDisney-I feel as though I am wasting this entire day by waiting by the computer. UGH!
 
Me, too. I've done nothing since 10:00.... I know once I get up and do something, they will go on sale!

:sad2: :sad2: Another one wasting a whole day waiting. Actually logged on at 10 this morning and the new dates wewe there but were down by the time I finished and did'nt get them.Sooooo frustrated...
 
I know my other sis says, why don't you just try later? Go watch tv or something. And I said, "Are you crazy? Now, I'm gun~shy!! You don't understand," I said to her, "I was in and my next step was to confirm our names and RR numbers and then I was booted out and the dates went back to 10/28! I can't chance that happening again."
My one sister already has her flight down and we're supposed to be on the same one. I certainly don't want to have to pay outrageous airfare. Heck, that's why I've held out for Southwest because their airfare usually seems so good and they seem to work with you if a lower airfare comes out. But, this was certainly a dirty trick they pulled, considering I was already "in".

Thanks all for understanding. At least I don't feel so alone. I said to my one DSis (there are 3 of us girls all going) that it makes me feel better knowing I'm not the only nut. Of course she says, that wouldn't make me feel better because you're competing with all of them.

Whatever, it makes me feel better.
 
I am leaving the house for a half hour or so, so the dates will probably show up while I am gone. :(

I'd only book the first part if she's absolutely certain that she's flying Southwest. The rest of December is supposed to be released later this month. I think some people assume SW is always the cheapest, but that's not always the case-- at least not in my market.

I was under the impression that the dates open up at midnight, I been having my DH who works 3rd shift check the dates with the instructions to call me when they open. I have been losing sleep and having nightmares about this. I have to be honest I do not think I will do business with SW again, I can't believe how stress ful this is!! I had airfare for our Nov 03 trip in Jan 03 at $160 each!!!!!

I just called reservations and she said they attempted to load the new dates and the program didn't go through so now not until tomorrow :badpc: of course I am working tomorrow. Maybe I will have to teach my 11 year old how to book air fair. This is CRAZY!!!!!! :guilty: :sad2:
 
Well, I just called Southwest (again) and I spoke to Kelly this time. I told her of how I was one of the ones booted out of the system this morning and were they going to be released as I've been patiently waiting all day for them. She said, "I wouldn't wait any longer. When we release fares it's generally in the morning."

Generally? Well are you or aren't you going to put them back out again? I mean technically you did release the fares but then you pulled them back again! What was that all about?

Anyway, that's what I found out. But this is my first time using Southwest what have all of your experiences been?

I am a planner and I like to have all my ducks in a row as soon as possible. You know, I'm the girl shopping in January for gifts in December. I'm thinking in September what we'll be eating at Christmas dinner. I've been having dreams about this too. This airfare thing is for the birds. But, I'm concerned that because they already (technically) released it, if they can get it to go through will they just put it out there when we least expect it?
 
.......Maybe i should just give up looking for today. But i haev to work all day tomorrow and might miss it. This is nuts. At least we all have alot of company here on this thread!!!!

Talk about inconvenience! What's worse is that you don't get the same answer twice from the CSR's. I'm sure it's not their fault but it sure would be nice if they would issue a statement regarding what happened today and when they will try rereleasing them. One person, who called, was told not until tomorrow (which looks like it is the case) and then a CSR told me to keep trying because they should be out later today. ~Well, how much later?~ And then I called back and the girl tells me don't wait any more today because we release our fares in the morning. I'm just so frustrated. I've got things I've got to do tomorrow. . . .
