It's a really nice little campground that is always crowded on weekends that you have to make reservations months in advance. That is why we took our kids out of school for a couple of days.

I am amazed at the place it is in the middle of a city in the San Francisco bay area and you would never know you were. There are the deer, squirrels, and turkeys that wander during the early evening and daytime. At night there are skunks, raccoons, and such.

You lay in the tent and listen to the crickets and Great Horned owls. It was so restful and nice. I love that picture Scotty took from the top of that hill. I am just sad because marching band season is starting so camping is over now until summer so this was our last hurrah of the year. I plan on still taking day trips to the different state parks in our area as long as the weather holds.

All those scary animals and you still like it?? SHEESH!

oH yEAH!!!! Flat Mom!!! isn't that what all us moms want to be??? At least in the stomach area!!! unfortunatly even when i was down to 84lbs and drinking Boost 4x aday my stomach STILL was not flat!!! all my life my stomach was super flat sunk in actually and then after the Csection with B they did several surgies well including the c-section I had 6 surgies in 13 days and they cut every which way on my belly so unfortunatly my stomach muscles were cut across and I was told i would never be flat again and *sniff sniff* I'm not. It was really weird to be so skinny there for a while and still have a bumpy stomach!!! But the good thing is my scar is shaped like a ...........................

Hope you all are well. I'm checking hurricane news now. It looks like we are going to get a the edge of it all. Hurrican, tropical storm and tropical depression if it goes as forecasted. i'm on the east side of South Texas so pray for me. We were going to go to OK but the weather looks like its going up there so If I'm leaving i don't want it following me. Any one want to put us up???? Say in............... Disney world?????!!

I'm off to bed. Taught a rowdy group of 2cd graders today. Sweet but rowdy!! i'm tired.

I was thrilled with 59 this morning. The last few mornings we were camping it was in the low 50's and the males in my house don't pack jackets or long pants unless the intellegent side of the family tells them to. T

Ah it's not so bad with the tent and the air mattress. And the kids are always so tired at the end of the day. And the food always tastes so much better. And the smell of the fresh coffee in the outdoors can't be beat.

Umm roadkill isn't scary. Just gross. A camping trip we went on up by Mt Shasta one year we kept having to wait on the highway for cows that were crossing the highway.

Another trip I watched a big brown bear cross the highway coming away from the direction of our campground.

Oh, and Debbie had to get a new windshield put in her car today. She hit a bird the other day on her way home from work and it smashed the whole thing to bits. Poor woman must have been scared out of her mind. She said there were lots of guts all over her windshield.
