I just got a text from OB. They are in South Carolina at her in-laws. They are safe and the kids are having a blast with their cousins! She said they probably have water in their house but she has no idea at this time how much. Let's all pray it's not much or not at all and that she doesn't have any damage. She'll let me know when she knows anything.

Glad they're safe. Now they're going to have to leave there to get out of Hanna's way. I think the storms are after our OB.

Somebody needs to tell Joe that. I've already had to do entire loads of laundry after he's left them in the washer too long, then put them in the dryer. Does he not notice that they smell bad while he's putting them in the dryer?

Let's see...shampoo, toothpaste, plugs (just in case - don't wanna have a fiasco like last year), cool ponchos, mouthwash, deodorant, bandages, more shoes, more clothes, and I don't know what else. I'm sure I'll think of something. I don't have any bug spray, but Debbie said she's taking that. I don't do sunscreen, but I did get free sunscreen at one of my meetings in Niagara Falls, so the kids can use that.

oh man, sounds like he needs a lesson in how to do laundry.

I got a travel size toothpaste through the free samples on walmart.com (thanks cheri ) and I also got a travel size deoderent too from there so I'm set on that. And all the other stuff is taken care of for me...plus since I'm staying with my friends down there I'm sure they have all that stuff too. I'd probably be getting all that stuff too if I was still going to stay at the hotel. Hope you can get all your stuff together so you don't forget anything.

kind of pissed off right now. Just heard that Ike is now a Tropical storm and will probably be a catagory 3 hurricane by the time it hits the U.S. It BETTER not mess with my vacation!!!

That sucks. I hope it goes other way.

I always like to have kaopectate and also suppostories, you never know, it could go either way, or not go, and if you are away it's so hard to get what you need quick!!! Don't forget bandaids too and some safety pins since there's no sense Nikki taking a needle and thread,
