Today was DD's first day of 3RD GRADE (I feel so old and she is officially 7 going on 32)

Here in Virginia we have the "king's dominion law" which means the schools can't start before Labor Day b/c the amusement parks (King's, Busch, Six Flags) need to have their teen labor for the big Labor Day Weekend.

Speaking of jobs, with the economy turning to crap right now, and Christmas coming up and all, I've decided to get back into my old side job. Do any of you remember what that is? We will have to discuss it in code here though.

Good Morning Ladies!

Have a question for ya'll...

We are having a "cyber" meeting today at work. My boss wants me to come in everyday for half days instead of having two days off in the middle of the week. I am not happy about this but don't really have much choice in the matter. Anyway, she also wants to change my responsibilities and I know this is going to be a bad day. Yesterday, she asks me to send an email to the my coworker giving a "job description". She didn't put it that way but that is the way I took it.

So what do ya'll think? Sounds to me like I am about to get canned.

Aww OB I hope you are wrong!!! We'll keep our fingers crossed....Do you think maybe she wanted your job description to be sure she's paying you enough?

nevermind the jokes, I just got a call about my grandma and she's not doing well. They don't think she's going to make it through the weekend. She has renal failure.

My boss isn't here yet but I am going to try and leave work early today. It's Friday so it's only me and her today. So I can't go yet. Any other day and I'd be out the door already.

Well I am totally cool with San Francisco as I am only about 45 miles away. You do realize that there is like 400 or so miles between the two places right? San Francisco is in by far the prettier part of California. And there is nothig like seeing our beautiful Golden Gate. Okay I am sold. My DH laughed at me last night when I told him. But he agreed.

Hey Michele, I've been to San Francisco and Alcatraz and have been across the Golden Gate Bridge. I'm confused though why isn't the Golden Gate Bridge Gold???? It's more an orange color. I lived in Salinas for a few months but didn't stay long and moved back to NJ. It was beautiful in that area though. I loved Monterey also.

They get out at the end of May. That is cool. I wish the kids didn't go back till after Labor Day. It seems their summers get shorter and shorter!

I just recieved this e-mail from a friend. Actually it was sent on Thurs but i just now was able to check it.
There is a group of us that are "e-mail prayer partners" It started out with a small ladies prayer group from my friends church and then a few of us special ones that just happen to be friends with this person were added to her prayer list e-mail group and so we get to be involved too! Anyway My friend M I will call her sends out these e-mails quite often. when she does her devotions or just needs a pick me up she will pull a bread( that's these little devotionals or scriptures that come in alittle box called a bread box and you are supposed to pull one each day. Bread because the word of God is bread for your soul.) Anyway this is just private e-mails so i'm going to take the name of the light co and her name out to protect her privacy. But anyway, she is not an inspirational speaker or anything although I think, no I KNOW she'd make an awesome one. she is just a single Mom, PK like me and a prayer warrior and one of my very closest friends! I thought ya'll might enjoy this It sure helped me!!!

I don't know about you, but what goes on in my world gets under my skin. Do you ever feel like this...sometimes? I wish I could feel happy, vibrant all the time; even peaceful, but truth is stuff bothers me. In other words, when things in life--like relationships, career, finances, my environment, even my body--aren't going as planned (and my body--things never seem to go as planned!), LOL, my emotions follow. Even if I feel that I'm waiting on the Techinician to come turn the mainbox back on...I know that at some point I'll feel "lit up" again--if I pray. Satan wants to snuff out our light, our joy.

Did I mention to you that I came home to flashing lights and at least two men in my front yard after church Wednesday night?? LOL Yes, sho' nuff. Drama all the time here lately around here, it seems. There was a broken water line....running to my house! Neighbor said water spewed as tall as my house. Hopefully, it was an .....Co. issue and not my issue...I haven't got the courage yet to give the water dept. a call to find out the details. I'm just glad the water was turned off...and turned back on for this morning so I could brush my teeth!! All I know is that the flashing lights stopped at around 11:00 pm. and I then could finally go to sleep. That's one light I was praying would go away! ;-) I just can hardly wait for the water bill!!! (I tell you all my issues to make you feel better about your own.--Heeehee) Ever had a day when your fortune cookie read, "It doesn't look good. Maybe you should have stayed in bed."?

I know that law I worked their the summer after I graduated!! 1992!! We moved to Va in the midle of my Sr year. 2DAYS BEFORE Christmas! It was a little traumatic becuase of sev issues.

I LOVED working there!! Lots of good memories and FUN!!!

4 Pecan Sandies
1 Raisen Bran Crunch
2 Froot Loops
1 Kellogs Corn Pops
1 Nemo Fruit Snacks
1 YOGO bites
1 bottle of Kroger Green Tea
1 4pack of Cottennelle TP
1 small Tide with bleach
1 bottle bioINFUSION shampoo
2 10pCK OF PENS
and I bought a 20oz Root Beer (that didn't make it home!!! )


I spent $36.56
I have $25 in store bucks
I'm getting$21 back in rebates
So when I get the rebates back I will have made $9.44!!!

Without the rebates I'm out right now a whoppin $11.56

I also got taken to P F CHANGS for dinner! YUMMM and got the cutest pair of pjs for part of my BDay!!
I find that as I get older and KIDDOS are coming in and out of my room! my PJs have turned into old gowns, t-shirts and just whatever. So it's nice to have something nice!! And the Best part is Mom told me he stil has my REAL Birthday present!!

I love that area. I always used to wonder why they painted it orange but it certainly can be seen for a long way that color. I think the reason it is called the Golden Gate bridge is because it was the gateway to the gold rush.

Eh my day is just okay. We are doing thorough cleaning today. Yipee. And later I am going to go get some groceries. What an exctiing life I lead. Sounds like you and Huey have a fun day planned.
