Are you close to any good beaches in NC? Are there any good beaches in NC? Outer Banks, maybe?

Joe told me this morning he has two weeks of vacation and some sick and personal days he has to take before winter. I was hoping to go to a beach this year, and I thought that was the perfect excuse. I ran it by him, and he seemed to like the idea as long as we can drive. I'm not sure why he doesn't want to fly. Anyway, I thought NC isn't TOO awful far for us to go, so I was hoping you could give me some helpful info on this. Hey, we could even swing by and see ya!

We're about 4 hours from the Outer Banks... just not a real direct route to get to them from here. We usually go farther south~ about halfway down the coast to Topsail/Surf City or to Wilmington. That's only a couple hours for us. If you want to do the Outer Banks though there a gazillion places to go. I've always wanted to go to Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills or Corolla.

One thing that YOU need to know though is that there are wild horses roaming all over out there. I am right now picturing you laying on the beach relaxing and then you open your eyes and there is a big huge wild mustang standing over you!!!!!!!!!!!!

OHHHH! DUH!!! Pink and glittery. It's still in the Christmas wrapping paper. I have another one from him, but it is more peach than pink. Joe likes that one. Then I have the black one with the bunny. And the footlong (that's "Tommy," no relation to Tomato, of course). And then there's the one I named "Johnny." There's also "Rob" and "Brendan."

Hey Girls! We went to the library and the McDoodle's (as Sharky calls it ) and then swimming...I am officially done for the day with fun activities. I now am doing the not fun stuff like dinner and laundry...yucko!!!

that reminds me of whem my FIL lost his front tooth a few months back. He got a replacement but it was pretty funny when it happened. I wanted to laugh every time he smiled.

Believe it or not, Joe used to look like that. He eventually got them all pulled out and now wears dentures. He wears them ALL the time! I think it's cause I make fun of him if he doesn't.

If they are wild, why don't they just shoot them? You may not think they're killer horses, but you never know. They could stomp you to death or poop on your face and you could suffocate.
