The Voice

LOVING THIS NEW SHOW!!! Rooting for Blake and Adam.

These guys are good. I can't even begin to pick a favorite so far. I like the structure of this show. Having the singers go head to head on the same songs sounds like fun.

And by the way, the lady that sang Adele sounded worlds better than the poor attempt by Hayley on last week's Idol.

I just wanted to add that opening rendition of CRAZY was aMAzing!!! :cool1: Wow, actually TALENTED judges... whodaTHUNKit? :lmao:

I felt so sorry for the people who didn't get a "turnaround"... how sad to be singing to the back of chairs.:guilty:

We really liked the show. It seemed to me that there may be a little tension between Christina and Adam. She really likes to talk!! Love Adam!!!!

Over the past year or so I've started to think there's actually some fire behind all of the smoke signals that claim Christina is a difficult personality. What I saw of the show last night led me to believe she doesn't know how or care to play nicely with others.

I totally agree. I felt like she thought it was all about her!!

For those of you who missed it last night (due to the extended episode of Glee or the hockey games), they're replaying it again tonight!

I thought it was okay, I thought the guy who sang Cyndi Lauper and the was the best by far.

I agree with you on this. His version of the song could be a hit today.

I also agree with those who stated Christina came off as difficult. If I were up there singing, I would only choose her if I had to. I would be afraid of her thinking I was competition. She kind of reminds me of how Steven Tyler acts on Idol. He's forever hitting high notes, etc. to get attention when the show isn't about him.

I burnt out on American Idol years ago, but I loved this new show.

I thought it was really fun and I loved the idea of the blind auditions. The judges performing in the beginning was really cool, showing they really do have true talent, unlike some other shows. ;)

So far I think Adam has the strongest team.

DD and I watched last night, and we really enjoyed it.

As far as Frenchie goes, it was awesome to see her. She was chosen for Idol, but they her kicked off before the live competetions started, and she was in Rent on Bway. She doesn't have a recording career, and that is what this show is about. Most of the others perform shows at different venues so would you consider them pros??

I guess I didn't see Christina doing anything different then any of the other judges, they were all giving each other a hard time.

She was paid professional to sing on Broadway, she is by no mean starting out.

Thousands of people perform on Broadway and only about 1 percent are STARS.

Javier Colon, Time after Time guy, has released 3 albums, he's no first timer, either. Everyone on there has been dealing with mediocrity in the music business for a while, they now want to be "discovered"... it's just another avenue.

Maybe it's because it was ONE show. One show does not make a career.

I remember decades ago that a gal I worked with, who was an actress, got on All My Children. She took a few days off to film. We were so happy for her. But, we wondered why she came back to work with us? She "made it!"

Then we saw the episodes. She only had a couple lines here & there in a prison scene with Erica Kane. That's when we realized, no, she didn't make it. She wasn't discovered. She had a bit part for a couple days on a soap. Once her part in the prison scenes were over with, that was the end of her time on AMC. It was ONE resume credit. She still had to come back to work to pay the rent and stuff and look for her next acting gig.

She may have gone onto doing more acting after finally leaving that job, but I don't even remember her last name. She obviously hasn't become famous.

What is wrong with the DIS? It's so hard to get through? :headache:

The guy who sang the Paparazzi song was horrible! :p

I notice all the judges keep trying to shuffle singers they don't want to Alan on the end. :lmao:
