The Vintner's Table vs. The Chef's Counter (2 adults w/ a 6 year old)

The Chef's counter can be a 2.5-3 hour dining "experience"...how well behaved and patient is your 6 year old?

I would say no problem with a 6 year old at the Chef's counter...but they might get bored and force ya to rush it. Good news is that if she is a picky eater they chef can make whatever will suit her!

Unless it's sushi, or a surprising day, my kid doesn't eat much, but loves to go to fancy restaurants, I really don't want to spend the $100 so my kid can not eat amazing custom food. But I want amazing custom food....

Vintner's is a menu not a table. You can order it at the counter or at a regular table.

Chef's Counter is sitting at a counter where the chef can (if you wish) design your meal.

Either way it is a very long meal. If your 6yo is capable of sitting thru a long meal, go for it. If this is the first time doing a long meal, you may wish to do the lounge instead of the restaurant itself.

Pinocchio's workshop?

alas, I can only pretend to afford eating at such places by staying off site and my kid would be really jealous

Pinocchio's workshop?

That's exactly what we are doing. DH and I have always wanted to do the chef's counter but DS is not ready for it. Since we are staying at the GCH, we can finally take advantage of Pinocchio's Workshop!

The most expensive kids meal at Napa Rose is $14. There isn't a requirement of what to order to sit at the counter. I am a very picky eater so when DH and I go next week and sit at the counter, he will order the 4 course "make me whatever you want and surprise me and I will order what I know I will like from the menu.

It would be fine for you to just order a kids meal for your daughter. The question would be if she could handle sitting long enough for you to really enjoy your meal.
