Maybe they are near the boat docks? There’s lots of horns from the boats.
BPK is a little closer than the original building but not by much imo. I have heard that they were paper thin walls.
We are in a 3rd floor resort studio at Big Pine Key right now. We are the 2nd room from the end of the hallway and right beside some construction. We cannot hear the construction unless we are on the balcony. Also, there’s a room with several kids beside us and we cannot hear them at all. We did bring a fan and I always put that in front of the connecting door. That seems to do the trick. I can definitely say it is nothing like staying at Pop where we could hear toilets flushing and doors slamming at all hours.
I have stayed in several of the outer buildings of GF before and never felt like the walls were super thin. I did however hear a lot of noise from boats and fireworks.
