The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

It does make me wonder how long before the trees completely block the view.
They pretty much do! It's such a missed opportunity! This is from our 5th floor stay in 2013. The 2023 view is 4th floor 4502 where we had a little view between the trees.

Thanks for sharing! Based on the last photo, maybe about 5 or so years left of the view. I think DVC should add a line item to the budget for trimming trees. I would happily pay a little more in dues to keep this view.

We just had a great trip overlapping the last day of summer 70th/beginning of Halloween. Crowds were not too bad, so we were able to get a lot done even with the heat wave.

We spent 6 nights in a studio. I know the shower heads are getting lots of complaints, but what about the sticky dresser? My husband ruined his wallet setting it there. Also, we had to call because we did not get our trash/towel day or trash pick up any day.

We have not stayed at VDH but did spend a lot of time over there this trip including a full day in a cabana. Even with a 2 and 5 year old, I think I still prefer the more relaxing VGC.

For Welcome Home weeks we participated in the Palm Breeze bar special and Welcome Home Wake-up at Discovery Den. We tried to stop by the DVC treat stop at Oogie Boogie but they were closed both times we walked by.

I thought it was just my room that had a sticky dresser. One of my shopping receipts got a little stuck on the sticky dresser. I tried to clean it up as best as possible before I left. I ended up picking up a lot of dust on that washcloth.

Maybe the sticky furniture will finally get people to admit CA refurb was handled very poorly compared to all the refurbs in FL. We will still have apologists.. CA is just so small… CA is just so expensive…

Hot take … they should’ve left the furniture as is and spent the money on new shower heads. New shower beards wouldn’t be ruining peoples stuff. I’ve seen FB reports of clothing and things getting ruined after being placed on the desk and then they are paying people for the damaged items. That can’t be free for us members paying dues. We just bought “sally” a new hat.

Wait...some of our furniture seemed sticky before the refurbishment. Is it even worse now??
