The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

That being said, I’d put with no window or patio to be there during Season of the Force….
I’m going for Season of the Force, and the new fanfest night at universal… I’m a bit bummed that I likely won’t have a window… but I’d still rather stay at VGC than VDH. I just stayed at VDH, and like it… but it’s no grand cal.

I still have a little over 3 weeks to go… I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they move on to a different part of the building by then.

I going to try for next year. Let us know how it goes!

I’m oddly a bit more excited for Universal Fan Fest night than Star Wars Night… but I’m a huge Back to the Future fan and what Universal is planning sounds nothing less than amazing… Disney never does anything on that scale for after hours events.

beginning of this week we were in a 2 bedroom 4505, looking at pool (or a tree) with a refreshed room, the pool area was also only half open until our last day, which made it a bummer each time we went to the pool we had to walk all the way around to the storyteller side since the villa entrance was blocked off, and with a toddler who screamed when we made him get out it was not so fun for us walking through the lobby each time 😂

Those Preferred Tree Rooms are hard to grab!!

Was this 7405 or 7505?
First 9 floors start with a 7 and 10-16 start with an 8.

We were there Apr 6-11 in 5518, a 2 bedroom overlooking (I think, it was hard to see past the scaffolding!) Redwood Creek Trail. The room looked good although there were a few issues with the bathrooms and specifically the hot water. The bathroom off the main living area needs some work. The towel rod was a bit bent, the toilet didn't flush properly, and there was sometimes a tiny smell in there but it was nothing too terrible. The room looked good imo and the kitchen appliances looked pretty new.
(Although it has

The showers never really seemed to get really hot and I asked for it to be looked at after our first night. I got a call to say it had been fixed and although it did seem a bit better, it was never really great.

This was our first time back in a 2 bedroom since 2022 and although it still needs some work, I was not unhappy with our stay.

Would love a report from anyone who has stayed in a 3-bedroom Grand Villa after refurb. Did they replace the sleeper sofa in the living room with a murphy bed? I know it would take a little reconfiguration of the furniture since the old units had the non-sleeper sofa against the wall, but it would be great if they did this because those sleepers are not at all comfortable, and the murphy beds look much better.

I had the hot water problem at the Disneyland hotel in November… seemed fine when I was there a few weeks ago.. I will be at the grand Californian in just over a week.

Seems like I had the problem once or twice at AKV on the same trip as the Disneyland Hotel in November… I remember wondering if Disney was doing something to save money.

I don’t think there have been any reports that they have even started any of the renovations in the grand villas. There is still a lot of debate on rather or not they are even finished with the rooms that have been reported, as the bathrooms and most other things haven’t been touched in those rooms.
