The View - anyone watching?

I think it is

A) She is a woman and gay..GASP!

B,C and D) She has her own money and does not feel the need to protect her job. She took the job with the understanding she may leave when school lets out. Joy Behar has actually become more empowered herself. Though always anti war, I felt she was holding back before Rosie came on the show. The fact Rosie has that opinion and doesn't need to answer to anyone infuriates people. IMO. Not only does she have many, many, contacts, she has lots of money. Money equals power. Add to that a daily and growing audience and the war mongers and Bush lovers have to demonize her. They are good at doing that, don't you think?
They don't want people to think or question. They only create more controversy, more attention to what Rosie really is saying. I'm sure she thanks them for that!

Well, the show's ratings keep going up with all the new viewers showing up to see what all the fuss is about. I'm not sure Rosie's foes would exactly be thrilled to know it's their doing though. :rotfl:

Well, they are hereby on notice! Keep up the good work! :woohoo:

Rosie is a wonderful and smart person. She is exposing the myths and the lies spewed from the government. She is asking good questions and she is making the rest of us think about what is going on. People who want her fired or people who bad-mouth her are simply challenged by what she is digging up and they are afraid she has the truth. It's that simple. Don't be afraid of the truth--listen to Rosie and open up to the corruption that is really going on around us. We have to be thinking adults in this world today. Let Rosie show us how to do that.:goodvibes

I read Rosie's blog daily. I admire her and often agree:thumbsup2 with what she says. This evening I read the Q&A she posts and find someone from this board and this thread sent a message to her about this fine discussion and she posted it. I wonder how many new 'viewers' the Dis and this thread will receive.

Hey Ro, if you're out there in Miami reading this:

Hi! Enjoy your vacation. Keep on putting Dubya's feet to the fire.

Mary Alice

I was just going to post the same thing about the DIS making her blog Q&A..

wow...

btw.. I share many of Ms. ODonnells political views. That does not make me unpatriotic in any way. I just want the US and my son out of Iraq ASAP.

I say.. keep talking Ro! you may want to take the time to listen too. but Keep talking!

AH! Found it. not sure how I missed that!

LOVED the live blogs she did from her dressing room. :)

I think it's great that she's getting people thinking and talking. It baffles me how much things are twisted. That people are saying she's standing up for the terrorists or for Iran in general. I don't see that at all. She's not saying "hug a terrorist...they are good people." She's saying that all of the citizens of the middle east are not terrorists. She's advocating for the NONTERRORISTS held in custody and being mistreated. She's saying don't rush into another war and put American lives on the line over $ without real basis.

Personally, questioning the administration is not unamerican. It is "unamerican" to just sit back and let things happen. We have the RIGHT to question. We have the RIGHT to be upset and we have the RIGHT to speak up and let that be known. We have an OBLIGATION to do our homework before electing these people and that means we need to ask questions and look at what has been going on.

Would you be so kind as to post a link? I am so glad this thread created a forum for such varied opinions and discussion. thanks! :thumbsup2

Here's a shout-out for Carol who posted on Rosie's blog and got noticed! WooHoo!

Notice how we've beaten down the "I hate Rosie" people on this thread? Just stating facts and not getting down in the mud with the people who like to throw it can move discussion forward! :cool1: :cool1:

Rosies fans know where to find her, the less people writing in to her from here the better IMO..Pictures of hippo's in bikini's are beyond rude and immature. It really detracts from the message, especially the messages of posters of such thing..Keep in mind she works for ABC which is owned by Disney so I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if she perused these boards.
The View is on ABC Monday through Friday 11 AM on the East Coast. This week will be reruns though..Tune in!

I have ZERO issue with Rosie's opinions. Like everyone else, she's got a perfect right to say what she thinks. I don't like to listen to her because her opinions are expressed rudely. She just yells over other people and if people don't agree with her, she insults them. I'd have a lot more respect for her if she would allow others the same respect that she wants for herself. She's preaching to the choir this way, not getting anyone to actually think about what she's saying and maybe change their minds. With a forum like hers, it would be really cool if she was actually changing people's minds.

She's changed mine! :thumbsup2

The DIS was mentioned on her blog?!? :rotfl2: I'm going to have to go check this out. Even though I love Rosie, I don't read her blog. For one, I just don't read blogs. Another, I don't really like her writing style. I prefer to just watch her on tv.

The show is called The View and Rosie is entitled to hers. However, her comments should always be preceded with "In my opinion...". She should also be a little more honest with her followers. She had blogged a piece on the Gulf of Tonkin incident which stated both attacks were "imaginary". The Vietnamese admitted the first attack did take place, but the second never happened. I wrote Rosie to say she needed to correct her comment. She has yet to do so. I also followed her advice to google it and found the Wikipedia page she copied from only to find it had deleted the word "imaginary" the very day I wrote her. A coincidence? Doubtful. This would mean she either wrote the page herself or is in cahoots with whomever did. Her statements on the British hostages included that the ships violated Iran's territorial waters without proof. She constantly speaks of WTC7 that it was an inside job. This would mean that every liberal politician, some NYC firefighters, and the NYC legal system had to be part of it. Her posted links lead to the video of the owner of the building saying he discussed "pulling" the building with the NY Fire Department, this would make them conspirators if it was an inside job, yet when fireman complain she says she never involved them. If you beleive that Rosie, delete links that assume that. One last point, read her blog. Anyone who agrees with her sound very intelligent, anyone who disagrees comes across as bigoted and threatening. This is classic propaganda. I know there have been many who have asked intelligent questions that oppose her opinion. Post those Rosie. Oh and if you really want people to think, post links to all sides of the issue, the more one knows, the better informed they are.

How is she any ruder than Elizabeth? Elizabeth yells just as much to get her point across. They all do it back and forth. I think when you're on one side...the other side stands out to you.

She's not, IMHO they are ALL rude!! That's why I stopped watching the show, I got tired of them yelling over each other.

Popluar Mechanics: Earth To Rosie!! Please come in Rosie!

If you look at the comments sections, between all of the claims that PM has "zero creditbility", the posts blaming the "International Zionist Conspiracy" for 9/11, and other "Bush did it!" rants, I found this rather insightful commment:
As a physicist myself I am appalled by the “new science” that is often heralded by the mob, rather than by those who are committed to the empirical method that is required in any scientific analysis. I am concerned that people like O’Donnell are growing in number – not because of reasoned dialogue and fact finding – but because of a political/emotional drive that does more to advance societal anarchy rather than truth and liberty. There is a new religion in America and it is called “conspiracy theory.” It has many different denominations and ecclesiastical orders. It is ruled by priests who are so blinded by their blind ambition and vain imaginations that they will stop at nothing in order to foist their “worship” on others. But we cannot be surprised by this at all. Every nation that has ever existed in history has evidenced this sort of downgrade after its zenith of achievement. The question is: will this downgrade continue, or will it be reversed within the span of our own generation?

I, for one, would not hinge my opinion as to whether a building could implode upon itself without a direct hit, on a celebrity. I research myself and look at the facts. I look forward to the engineers and physicists that will be on the View discussing the matter. My mind is open on the topic, but I pray to God Rosie is wrong about this one. Again the idea that Bush's younger brother, Marvin, was in charge of WTC security has me questioning more and more. I had never heard of this coincidence. BTW Rosie O" Donnell never said Bush was part of the 9/11 conspiracy.

One thing that is a fact is we went to war based on lies spread by the Bush administration and tens of thousands (if not hundreds of) are dead, among them more then 3,000 American troops. I am grateful every day that Rosie can expose Bush and Co for what they are. They should be charged with war crimes.

Why.
